Warm-up Questions
Do you drink coffee? If yes, when did you start? If not, why not?
How much coffee do you drink per day/week? When do you drink it?
How many times a day do you say, or think, “I need coffee”?
Do you like the taste of coffee, or is it the effect that matters?
Do you usually gulp down your coffee or sip it to enjoy the moment?
What happens if you don’t have coffee (e.g., you can’t concentrate,
feel sleepy or irritated)?
Can a person become addicted to coffee? What would the symptoms
be? Is there a remedy?
Task 1: Watch the video and
replace the underlined words
Many people need coffee to feel full of energy and happy in the
morning.
Instead of drinking a hot cup first thing, you should actually wait 90
minutes.
With all this cortisol and adrenaline running through your body, do
you really need more coffee?
If there’s anything you must do and it makes you unhappy if you
don’t, then you’re addicted to it.
Addictions of any kind aren’t worth having, so just push yourself a
little bit.
