Short form instructions

This workbook should be used to perform multiple tests. After data has been recorded it is
recommended to save the workbook using a new name so as to preserve the blank version as a
template that can be reused. Please feel free to change the looks of the report or add more
calculations to this workbook.

If you are collecting data using a RaySafe Xi, this workbook assumes that you have installed
RaySafe Xi View and have connected the RaySafe Xi to your PC using either the serial cable or
optional Bluetooth adaptor.

If you are collecting data using a RaySafe X2, this workbook assumes that you have installed
RaySafe X2 View and have connected the RaySafe X2 to your PC using one a mini-USB to USB
cable.

1. Enter your set data according to your test in the report sheet. You are guided by the small red
triangles in the respective cells.

2. Select the Data Sheet and start RaySafe Xi View or X2 View. Select H4 as starting cell. Select
the set values of the X-ray machine according to the set value list. For each exposure the software
will move to the next row automatically.

3. All calculations are made automatically as each exposure is read into the spreadsheet. If one
exposure is incorrect you have to stop Xi View or X2 View software and select the faulty row as
your starting cell and continue the measurements..

4. Assign the workbook a new name of your choice and save it.
The RaySafe Xi R/F Detector has two sensors: R/F High is designed for
conventional, high dose rate measurements normally generated without
a phantom between the detector and the X-ray source . R/F low is
designed for low dose rate measurements normally generated with a
phantom between the detector and the X-ray source .
