Scene 1: Cinderella’s Home


**Narrator**: Once upon a time, there was a kind girl named Cinderella. She lived with her
mean stepmother and two stepsisters.

**Stepmother**: Cinderella! Clean the kitchen!

**Stepsister 1**: And wash my dress!

**Stepsister 2**: And bring me some tea!

**Cinderella**: (sighing) Yes, Stepmother.

**Mouse 1**: Poor Cinderella. She always works so hard.

**Mouse 2**: Yes, and they are so mean to her!

Scene 2: The Royal Invitation


**Narrator**: One day, a royal messenger arrived with exciting news.

**Royal Messenger**: (holding a scroll) Hear ye, hear ye! The King invites all young ladies to the
royal ball! The Prince is looking for a bride!
**Stepmother**: (excited) Girls, we must prepare for the ball!

**Stepsister 1**: I need a new dress!

**Stepsister 2**: And I need jewelry!

**Cinderella**: (hopeful) Can I go to the ball too?

**Stepmother**: (laughing) You? No! You have too much work to do.

Scene 3: The Fairy Godmother Appears


**Narrator**: The family went to the ball, leaving Cinderella alone. She sat by the fireplace and
cried.

**Fairy Godmother**: (appears with a wand) Don’t cry, my dear. You shall go to the ball!

**Cinderella**: But how? I don’t have a dress, or shoes, or a carriage!

**Fairy Godmother**: (waves wand) Bibbidi-bobbidi-boo!

**Narrator**: The Fairy Godmother turned a pumpkin into a carriage, and the mice into horses.

**Mouse 1**: Wow, I’m a horse!

**Mouse 2**: Me too! Let’s go!

**Fairy Godmother**: (to Cinderella) Now, here is your dress and glass slippers. But remember,
the magic ends at midnight!

Scene 4: The Ball


**Narrator**: Cinderella arrived at the ball. The Prince saw her and was amazed.

**Prince**: Who is that beautiful girl?

**The King**: Go talk to her, my son!

**Prince**: (to Cinderella) Would you like to dance?


**Cinderella**: Yes, thank you.

**Narrator**: They danced and laughed all evening. But then the clock struck midnight.

**Cinderella**: (panicking) Oh no, I must go!

**Prince**: Wait! What’s your name?

**Narrator**: Cinderella ran out, but she left one glass slipper behind.

Scene 5: The Search


**Narrator**: The next day, the Prince searched for the girl who lost the slipper.

**Prince**: I will marry the girl whose foot fits this shoe!

**Royal Messenger**: We must search every house in the kingdom!

**Narrator**: They went to Cinderella’s house.

**Stepsister 1**: (trying the shoe) It doesn’t fit!

**Stepsister 2**: (trying the shoe) It’s too small!

**Stepmother**: (to Cinderella) Don’t bother trying it on!

**Prince**: (to Cinderella) Please, try it.

**Narrator**: Cinderella tried on the shoe, and it fit perfectly!

**Prince**: (smiling) Will you marry me?

**Cinderella**: Yes, I will!

Scene 6: Happily Ever After


**Narrator**: The Prince and Cinderella got married.
**The King**: Let the celebration begin!

**Everyone**: (cheering) Hooray!

**Narrator**: And they lived happily ever after.

**Everyone**: The end!
