Practical 1 - Data Entry Operations

Activity:
Observe the computer system, identify its various parts, segregate them, and mention them
in the table.

Objective:
After completing this practical, you will be able to:
- Identify different parts of the computer.
- Differentiate between hardware and software.

Software Required:
- Any operating system
- Any word processing software

Prerequisite:
Knowledge of hardware and software.

Procedure:
1. Identify Hardware Components:

- These are the physical parts of the computer that can be seen and touched.

- Examples: Keyboard, Mouse, Monitor, CPU, Printer, Scanner, Speakers, Hard Disk, RAM,
Motherboard, SMPS, etc.

2. Identify Software Components:

- These are the programs that run inside the computer's memory to make hardware
functional.

- Examples: Operating System (Windows, Linux, macOS), Word Processing Software (MS
Word, Google Docs), Web Browsers (Chrome, Firefox), Media Players (VLC, Windows Media
Player), and Applications (MS Excel, Photoshop, Games, etc.)
