• Computer system with available 40 or 44-pin IDE channel
Installation
1. Insert the CompactFlash card into the CN2 slot on the adapter. • CN2 – CompactFlash socket (Master/Single mode)
2. Change the jumper settings to match your configuration. • CN3 – 40-pin (2.54 mm pitch) IDE connector
3. Mount the adapter inside your computer case. • CN4 – 44-pin (2.0 mm pitch) SFF IDE connector
4. Connect either the 40 or 44-pin IDE ribbon cable from your IDE • CN5 – Floppy disk drive power connector
controller to the appropriate connector on the adapter. • LED1 – CompactFlash card-detect indicator
5. Connect the floppy power connector (SP4) from your power • LED2 – Read/Write activity indicator
supply to the CN5 connector on the adapter. • LED3 – Power-on indicator
Jumper Settings
JP1 – CompactFlash power source selection:
1-2 * External power (CN5) or 44-pin SFF IDE connector (CN4)
Pin 20 of 40-pin standard IDE connector (CN3), for VIA
2-3
EPIA series motherboards
JP2 – CompactFlash voltage selection:
1-2 * +5.0V
2-3 +3.3V
JP3 – CompactFlash mode selection:
1-2 * Master/Single
2-3 Slave
