“Alright!” I replied reluctantly. I trudged to the storeroom. As I opened the
living room drawer, a huge mess greeted me. Peering through the dust, an old
article caught my attention. It had a thick layer of dust surrounding it. Picking it up,
the memories of an act of courage came rushing into my mind like a tidal wave. It
all happened two years ago.
Event 1 The sun shone brilliantly, the water in the pond glittered delightfully and birds
chirping cheerfully.
I was about to make a turn to my bus stop when Jessie and her minions approached
me. “Hey mary! Got any cash for us today?” Jessie said evilly, as her minions
viciously laughed behind her. “No.” I stuttered. “Well you better find a way to get
some!” she awfully laughed.
Event 2 While Jessie and her minions laughed, I took it as a chance to escape. One of her
minions saw me and shouted my name, but I did not stop. I continued running. I had
realised Jessie was holding me by my shirt’s collar. “Trying to run away I see.”
I managed to muster my courage and shouted, “What do you want from me?” My
passionate monologue woke up the street.
Event 3 Everyone ran out their doors trying to figure out what was happening. Before I knew
it Jessie let go of my collar and several people were surrounding us. Jessie and her
minions tried to make a run for it but the police arrived on time.
Resolution Turns out some people had heard and saw what had happened and called the police.
Jessie and her minions got caught and got thrown in jail where their parents had to bail
them out.
Conclusion “Mary! What’s taking you such a long time? Come and have your lunch!” Mother’s

voice snapped me out of my thoughts, bringing me back to the present. I smiled
softly to myself as I placed the article back on the shelf. Memories of an act of
courage would forever be etched in my mind for a long time.
