• In this week, I concentrated on designing a detailed and technically feasible roadmap for
the implementation of the Industry 4.0-based smart manufacturing system within the
plant. This plan encompassed a step-by-step sequence covering sensor selection
and installation, hardware interface integration, data acquisition module setup, software
configuration, and systematic testing and calibration. Each phase was aligned with
the plant’s ongoing operations to avoid disrupting production activities. I emphasized
a modular deployment strategy, wherein components of the system would
be introduced in controlled stages, allowing for real-time validation and early
identification of potential integration issues. To further reduce operational downtime, I
proposed strategies such as modular deployment, where systems would be implemented
and validated in discrete sections, along with the use of offline simulations for functional
verification.
