Entrepreneurs Background
The respondent is Jaquelyn Simbre, she stated that, she was started on August 16,2019
and the workplace is called ESL or also known as English is my second language were the
company is operated for teaching children through online and the student is from outside of
the country, aside from this, she was stated us also that he first job is a nanny and almost 6
years at Dubai. After that, she came back to the Philippines and tried her first business as a
karinderya owner, because that was her dream which is to own a business, and then she didn’t
expected that this was not easy to her to run because at that moment, she has a newborn child
and she is not really capable to handle serving for her business since she was facing some
kind of health effects after having a child, and she decided to rest for a while but suddenly,
pandemic was emerged and she decided to stop her business and look for something new that
good for homebase working and the first work she saw was named Acadsok, but she field,
because the work is lack of training. After all, she continued seeking another work, then she
find the same system of work called five one talk.
The work five one talk is her training gound and everything was started to this.
Afterward, I tutor was followed and until now the both 51 talk and I tutor is operating with
the management of Mrs. Jacquelyn Simbre.
Objective of the Interview
The goal of this interview is to gather data and information regarding the starts and
the experiences of being a business handler, and ways to setting things and management to
success. In addition, this interview is design to gain experience and ideals to run business
successfully.
Methods
Formal methods in an interview typically refer to a structured approach to assessing a
candidate's skills, experience, and fit for a particular role. One common method is the
Behavioral Event Interview (BEI), which asks candidates to provide specific examples of
past experiences and behaviors that demonstrate their skills and competencies. Another
approach is the Situational Interview, which presents hypothetical scenarios related to the job
and asks candidates to describe how they would handle each situation.
Other formal methods include Panel Interviews, which involve a group of interviewers who
ask questions and assess the candidate's responses, and Competency-Based Interviews, which
focus on assessing specific skills, knowledge, and behaviors required for the job. Structured
Interviews use a standardized set of questions and evaluation criteria to assess candidates,
while Assessment Centers involve a series of exercises, tests, and interviews designed to
evaluate a candidate's skills and competencies.
Case Study Interviews present a real-life business scenario and ask candidates to analyze and
propose solutions, while Technical Interviews assess a candidate's technical skills and
knowledge, often using coding challenges, problem-solving exercises, or technical
discussions. These formal methods can help ensure a fair, consistent, and reliable evaluation
of candidates, and are often used in combination to provide a comprehensive assessment.
Interview Narrative
The interview was already well planned, and contact with Mrs. Jacquelyn ahead of
time, The interview was held on the 13 th day of March inside the main office of Gunwo Edu.
Bukidnon branch.
The interview went well. The interview started at exactly 1pm in the afternoon, and
we arrived at the venue for the interview and as a time speed we started the interview.
During the interview, we ask the respondent on how the life going and regarding the
business she handled, and also we ask her about the experiences and difficulties she faced on
her business starts.
Entrepreneur’s Transcript Answer to the questions
Question 1: Did you have a previous experience in this field
before starting this business?
"I actually started out as an English teacher, and I've been teaching
for over 10 years. I've had experience teaching ESL students, both online
and offline. When I decided to start my own business, I knew that I wanted
to leverage my teaching experience to create a platform that would
provide quality English language instruction to students around the
world."

Question 2: When did your journey as an entrepreneur
begin?
"I started my business about 5 years ago, when I realized that there was a
growing demand for online English language instruction. I saw an
opportunity to create a platform that would connect English language
teachers with students who needed their services. It's been a challenging
but rewarding journey so far."

Question 3: What motivated you to choose the path of
becoming an entrepreneur?
"I've always been passionate about teaching and education, and I wanted
to create a business that would allow me to make a positive impact on
people's lives. I also wanted to have the freedom and flexibility to run my
own business, and to be able to pursue my own vision and goals."

Question 4: Why did you choose to enter this particular
business?
"I chose to enter the online English language instruction business because
I saw a growing demand for it, and I believed that I had the skills and
expertise to create a high-quality platform. I also believed that this
business would allow me to make a positive impact on people's lives, by
helping them to improve their English language skills and to achieve their
goals."

Question 5: Do you believe that running this business is
better than working as an employee?
"Definitely. As an entrepreneur, I have the freedom and flexibility to run
my own business, and to pursue my own vision and goals. I also have the
opportunity to create jobs and to make a positive impact on people's lives.
Of course, it's not always easy, and there are many challenges that come
with running a business. But overall, I believe that it's worth it."

Question 6: What are the obstacles that you've encountered
as an entrepreneur?
"There have been many obstacles, of course. One of the biggest
challenges has been finding and retaining talented teachers. It's also been
challenging to navigate the complexities of online marketing and to reach
potential customers. Additionally, there have been times when I've had to
deal with difficult customers or with technical issues that have disrupted
our services. But overall, I've been fortunate to have a talented team and
a supportive network of colleagues and mentors who have helped me to
overcome these challenges."

Reflection and conclusion
As I reflected on our conversation with Mrs. Jacquelyn Simbre, I was
struck by the valuable lessons she shared about her journey as an
entrepreneur in the online English language instruction business. With her
background as an English teacher and her passion for education shining
through, it was clear that she had found a way to turn her strengths into a
successful business. Her ability to identify and leverage her transferable
skills was particularly inspiring, and it was evident that this had been a
