Session 1: Introduction and Exploration
1. Introduction (5 minutes)
• Discuss the importance of vocabulary for communication and
academic success.
• Explain how technology makes vocabulary learning engaging,
flexible, and effective.
2. Overview of Tools (20 minutes)
• Briefly introduce each tool with a live demonstration:
• Anki & Quizlet: Flashcards, spaced repetition, and multimedia
options.
• Duolingo & Memrise: Gamified lessons and videos of native
speakers for contextual learning.
• Wordscapes, Boggle & Wordle: Fun word games for vocabulary
building.
• [Link] & Merriam-Webster: Definitions, quizzes, and
pronunciation tools.
• Kahoot! & Quizizz: Customizable quizzes for interactive
practice.
