Football Training Guide

1. Focus on Nutri on (Eat Clean)

What to Eat:

 Proteins: Chicken, fish, lean beef, eggs, Greek yogurt

 Carbs: Sweet potatoes, brown rice, quinoa, oats

 Healthy Fats: Avocado, olive oil, nuts, seeds

 Veggies & Fruits: Leafy greens, broccoli, carrots, berries, apples

❌ What to Avoid:

 Processed foods (chips, candy, junk food)

 Sugary drinks (soda, energy drinks)

 Fried foods

 White bread and pastries

2. Eat Smaller Por ons, More O en

 3 main meals and 2–3 small snacks each day

 Focus on por on control: Use smaller plates to avoid overea ng

 Try not to eat too much a er 7–8 PM

3. Hydra on

 Drink 6–8 glasses of water every day


 Drink water before meals to help with por on control and feeling full

 Avoid sugary drinks like soda or energy drinks

4. Boost Your Cardio

HIIT (High-Intensity Interval Training) for 20–30 minutes (3–4 mes a week):

Football Training Focus Areas for You:

1. Shoo ng

As a striker, your shoo ng is key:

 Finishing Drills: Prac ce both right and le foot shots. Try to hit different areas of the goal (top corner, bo om corner, near
post, far post).

 Quick Finishes: Set up cones or use a partner to give you quick passes for one-touch finishes.

2. Weak Foot Training

Since your le foot is weaker, make sure to include:

 Le Foot Dribbling: Prac ce dribbling with your le foot while performing cone drills. This improves control and confidence.

 Le Foot Passing and Shoo ng: Set up simple passing drills with your le and shoot at targets to increase accuracy.
3. Speed & Agility

For small-field matches (5v5/6v6), speed is everything:

 Sprints & Accelera on Drills: Focus on short bursts of speed over distances of 5–10 meters. Sprint to cones and change
direc on quickly.

 Cone Drills: Set up cones for zig-zag dribbling to improve agility and footwork.

 1v1 Moves: Work on your ability to beat players with quick turns and feints.

4. Ball Control & Dribbling

 Close Control Dribbling: In ght spaces, you'll need great control. Prac ce dribbling in small spaces with quick touches,
keeping the ball close.

 Quick Changes of Direc on: Prac ce moves like the step-over and drag-back to deceive defenders in small spaces.

5. Passing & Vision

 Quick Passes: Work on fast, one-touch passes in small spaces with a partner or against the wall.

 Through Balls: Prac ce delivering through balls into space for teammates to run onto.

6. Small-Sided Tac cs (for 5v5/6v6 Games)

 Movement off the Ball: In ght spaces, always be ready to move. Make runs into space and create angles for passes.

 Pressing and Recovering: When you lose the ball, focus on immediate pressing. Regain possession as fast as possible to
maintain offensive pressure.

 Posi onal Play: As a winger or striker, understand where to posi on yourself in rela on to the defenders and the ball.

7. Mental Toughness & Confidence

 Game Intelligence: Study pro players like Cris ano Ronaldo and Mbappé to learn their decision-making and movements.
 Self-Confidence: Stay calm, trust your skills, and believe in your ability to make a difference on the field.

Weekly Training Plan (for 5v5/6v6)

 Day 1: Shoo ng & Weak Foot (20 shots per foot, 1v1 with defender)

 Day 2: Speed & Agility (10–15 sprints, cone dribbles)

 Day 3: Ball Control ( ght-space dribbling, ball juggling)

 Day 4: Passing & Vision (wall passes, quick 1-touch passing drills)

 Day 5: Tac cal Awareness (watch matches, analyze striker movements)

 Day 6: Small-Sided Match (play 5v5/6v6 games for prac ce)

 Day 7: Rest & Recovery (light stretching, hydra on, good sleep)
