INTRODUCTION

In the recent years, the need for distance and combined farms of education has grown
increasingly. It is mainlydue to increased demands for territory education and the need for
frequent changes in vocational education and the need for frequent changes in vocational
education. Traditional fun time teaching can often not be used in employee training. The problem
of distance learning is that most participants have no practical experience with this form of
teaching. This leads to worse result for distance students.
The most important problem lies in o abilities of student to manage their studies. Part
of student Is unable to plan a well-proportioned schedule for learning. They often start to learn at
the end of the semester before course exam. The first semester of a study is the most problematic
period of studies on this period. One of the reason is wrong information and incorrect and
incorrect idea about the distance learning. This studies are conduct in ANHS and the participants
that involve in this problem are the senior high school student.
The purpose of this study is to know the advantage and disadvantage of modular
distance learning and its impact to the student learning amidst of the pandemic and lastly to find
out what possible solution can be done to help the students excell and perform well. Distance
education is a concept that has no gained significant popularity over the past few years. Distance
learning programs have helped many students who are anable to attend campus – based or full
time courses to realizes their educational aspirations with distance education, learning instruction
is disseminated over the internet through an online learning portal or video conference software.
Distance learning might not the best choice for everyday student seeking to pursue a college
degree or university program .

ADVANTAGE

students to find the convenient time to study without interfering with their already busy schedule.

CONCLUSION

Despite its numerous drawbacks, distance learning still provides better learning options
for students wishing to enjoy greater convenience and flexibility in pursuing a course. The
greatest benefits of distance education is that it allows students to access numerous learning tools
using minimum financial resources. Studying online is even made more interactive with the use
of video conferencing software. That improves the ability to acquire and retain knowledge on a
given subject.

However, distance education limits social interaction, involves use of complex technology and
has a negative perception among some employers. Any student wishing to enroll for distance
learning diploma or degree should weigh between its pros and cons to determine whether or not
it's a good option. Generally, distance education can be the perfect option for working students.
BACKROUND OF THE STUDY

Throughout this crisis, education systems are increasingly looking towards international
policy experiences, data and analyses as they develop their policy responses. The OECD’s
publication Education at a Glance contributes to these efforts by developing and analysing
quantitative, internationally comparable indicators that are particularly relevant to the
understanding of the environment in which the sanitary crisis has unfolded. While the indicators
in the publication Education at a Glance date from before the crisis, this brochure puts these
indicators into the context of the pandemic. It provides insights into its economic consequences
for education, but also the dynamics of reconciling public health with maintaining educational
provision. The policy responses presented in this brochure cover key measures announced or
introduced before the end of June 2020
However, the challenges do not end with the immediate crisis. In particular, spending on
education may be compromised in the coming years. As public funds are directed to health and
social welfare, long-term public spending on education is at risk despite short-term stimulus
packages in some countries. Private funding will also become scarce as the economy weakens
and unemployment rises. At tertiary level, the decline in the international student mobility
following travel restrictions is already reducing the funds available in countries where foreign
students pay higher fees. More widely, the lockdown has exacerbated inequality among workers.
While teleworking is often an option for the most qualified, it is seldom possible for those with

pandemic, providing essential services to society. Education is no exception. Students from
privileged backgrounds, supported by their parents and eager and able to learn, could find their
way past closed school doors to alternative learning opportunities. Those from disadvantaged
backgrounds often remained shut out when their schools shut down.
This crisis has exposed the many inadequacies and inequities in our education systems –
from access to the broadband and computers needed for online education, and the supportive
environments needed to focus on learning, up to the misalignment between resources and needs.
Economic crises have put pressure on public budgets in the past. In some countries, this has led
to reductions in public funding for education. While cross-country comparisons do not show a
strong relationship between spending on education and educational outcomes across OECD
countries, due to significant differences in the productivity of education systems, reducing
spending without improving productivity is likely to negatively affect the quality of education. It
may take a few years to see the effect of a crisis on education funding. In the aftermath of the last
financial crisis, despite severe budget cuts in all OECD countries, the majority continued to
increase public spending on education between 2008 and 2009, with the first signs of a
slowdown only appeared in 2010 as austerity measures imposed cuts on education budgets in
about one-third of OECD countries.

SCOPE AND DELIMITATION

This study aims to know the Advantage and Disadvantage of new normal distance learning
in senior high school students of Alawihao National High school. Specially, this study is
concerned with determining the demographic profile of the respondent as the hardest one, whom
does respondent asked for in answering the module and what suggestion does respondent can
offer to lessen the difficulties in answering the module.

The results of this study would help the parents to identify the reasons why their children
struggles in answering the module therefore, as a parents, they will have an idea what are the
possible ways they can do to lessen the struggles of their children. This study would also help the
parents to be more supportive to their children.

To the Senior High Teachers

The results of this study would help senior high teachers to know the difficulties of the
students to implementation of modular distance learning therefore, they can have an idea what
are the possible things to do in order to lessen the difficulties of the students in answering the
module. This study would also provide teachers some strategy and techniques that they can use
to cater all the needs of the students in order to lessen the difficulties in answering the module.
