There will be 2 online quizzes.
Online Quiz 1 – Week 9, CLO3 (Topic 3)
Online Quiz 2 – Week 11, CLO4 (Topic 4)
3.0 Assignment 1 (Group) (10%)
The objective of this assignment is to assess CLO2 (Topic 2), using Report
Writing rubric. Students need to form groups of five (5) members. Submission
date is on 30 April 2025 (Wednesday), in Week 7.
Please follow these guidelines:
For the group project, students have to carry out a library research. Depending
on the research topic that was determined by the lecturers, students are
required to find one (1) article each to complete the group assignment.
Therefore, to fulfil this task:

Students are required to form a group consisting of 5 members to carry out
the research project.
Students are allowed to choose any issues to be explored from Topic 2,
subject to the lecturer’s approval.
Approval for the topic will be based on the ‘first come-first serve’ basis.
The final report of the group project should include the followings:
1. Abstract – summary of what the report is all about. Please ensure it is no more
than 300 words.
2. Introduction - background of the topic or issue.
Content for a background
- what is the topic all about
- what is the concept you are going to discuss in the paper?
- why the topic is chosen?
- what is the importance of the topic to organizations?
- is the topic/ tool being implemented in Malaysia/ region or world?
- how many companies used the
tool? (Please limit this section to be
around 2 pages
3. Objective of the study – explain what to be achieved from the study.
- based on why you have chosen the topic (as in 1 above) – clarify your
objectives. In point form.
- clarify one by one what you would like to explore about the topic through the
articles read or the literature reviewed.
4. Literature review – review (NOT summary) of previous studies related to the
issues. You can divide your literature review into different sub-sections
according to your research objectives. The literature review section is the
most important part for this project. Significant marks will be allocated for the
section.
Your literature review section should have subsections.
Plan your sub-sections based on the objectives you mention in 2 above.
Your review should be able to answer or achieve the objectives that you
outlined in 2 above.
Example of sub-sections:
1. the history of the tool/concepts
2. the theory related to the implementation of the tool.
3. the implementation of the topics in the world/ Asia, Malaysia
4. the issues arise from using the tools or methods
5...............you can add more sub-sections where necessary
5. Methodology – describe the method used to collect the data.

- where the data was collected from – from which sources ie: google scholar,
science direct etc…
- when was the data collected?
- how many articles were used? (provide a table of these articles or References
at the end of the report)
6. Discussion and Conclusion – discuss the findings (based on the articles
you have read or reviewed) related to your research objectives and provide a
conclusion for the overall results.
(Here you have to compare and contrast what you have read, give your
opinion on what you have found based on the articles you have reviewed).
7. References – list down all of the references used in the study, using the
APA style of referencing.
The project report should be computer printed with these specifications:

4.0 Assignment 2 (Digital Skills + Ethics and Professionalism)(Group) (10%)
The objective of this assignment is to assess on CLO5. Students will have to
work in groups of 5 students. Each group needs to prepare a video that projects
on Topic 5 or Topic 6 of the course. There is no specific method on how to
prepare the video, it is up to the groups’ creativity. The assessment will be
using Digital Skills rubric. Tentative submission date is on 22 May 2025
(Thursday), in Week 10.
The Ethics and Professionalism rubric should be submitted on 12 June 2025
(Thursday).
5.0 Comprehensive Final Exam (60%) (Face-to-face Exam)
Final Assessment will be conducted as scheduled by the Academic Affairs
Department, UUM.
