For equations y = x^3 - 5x^2 - 6x + 30, which are modifications from y = x^3 - 5x^2 - 4x + 20, plot both curves using the defined scales. Determine intersection points which are the solutions to the equation graphically by identifying x-values where both graphs meet on the plotted space.

The probability that an event requires a wait for two different lifts, given probabilities of immediate service, can be calculated using complementary probabilities and a tree diagram. Calculate each branch of the tree where the lift is not available, multiply these probabilities along the path to determine the overall probability of waiting.

To find the angle between line AC and the ground in a triangular wedge, use trigonometric principles, particularly tangent or sine laws. Calculate the angle by using side lengths given in the rectangular base and the wedge height, applying arctangent on the calculated triangle base over height ratio.

Given that the second term of the geometric progression is 6 and the fourth term is -54, the common ratio can be established by considering the progression terms as ar and ar^3 for the second and fourth terms respectively. Solving the equation ar^3 = -54 and ar = 6, using the division method (ar^3)/(ar) = r^2 = -54/6, gives the common ratio of -3.

Calculate the respective positions of ships F and H after a set time using speed and bearing. Convert speeds and bearings to vector components and apply the distance formula for resultant vectors. Use inverse trigonometric functions to determine bearings relative to the north from ship H to ship F. For example, after 2 hours, calculate using trigonometric decompositions based on given bearings.

To calculate the acceleration of a shuttle during the final phase when brought to rest, plot a velocity-time graph. The acceleration is the slope of the line segment representing the change from initial to final velocity over time. For instance, a final drop to zero velocity from a known velocity over 5 seconds determines negative acceleration.

For the constraints: one tea more than K 3000 budget, cheap tea at least 5kg, set up inequalities with x and y representing kg of expensive and cheap tea respectively. Thus, formulate: 1500x + 600y < 15000, y ≥ 5, and 1500x > 600y + 3000. Solve these inequalities graphically in feasible regions under constraints.

The variable W is given as a sum of a constant and a term inversely proportional to the square of r. Use the given conditions W=1 when r=2 and W=6 when r=3 to establish the form 1/k = c + d/r^2. Solve these equations to find c and d, then solve for r when W=9 using the established equation.

To find the equation of a curve given points on a quadratic graph, identify several points on the graph and use them to solve for the coefficients in the general form y = ax^2 + bx + c. For example, given points such as (0, 1), (1, 2), and (2, 1), substitute these into the equation to create a system of equations. Solve the system simultaneously to find a, b, and c.

In the cyclic quadrilateral KLMN, where twice angle LKN equals three times angle NML, use the property that the sum of opposite angles in a cyclic quadrilateral is 180 degrees. Let angle NML = x, then angle LKN = 1.5x. Solve 1.5x + x = 180 to find angle LKN = 108 degrees.
