ANSYS Fluid Flow Tutorial Steps

The document outlines a tutorial for using ANSYS Fluent for fluid flow analysis, detailing the steps from geometry creation to result visualization. It includes instructions for creating a hollow cylinder, setting up mesh parameters, and configuring simulation settings such as material properties and boundary conditions. Finally, it describes how to run calculations and visualize results through streamlines.

TUTORIAL – 2

 First a fall OPEN ANSYS and select FLUID FLOW(fluent).

There is some step of in this process.

STEP – 1: Fluid Flow (fluent)

STEP – 2: Geometry

 In Geometry first we select New Design modeler.

 Then select XYPlane.
 Then go in create > Primitives > [Link] enter details and we get
1 part,1 body and In As Thin / Surface we select yes and we get hollow
object.
 Then go in Tools > Fill > Modeling and select Internal part and we get
2 parts,2 body. In this part select second one give name Fluid and then
this part we have 1 Solid and 1 Fluid.
 Then SAVE this file.
 This Photo is last step of GEOMETRY.

STEP – 3 : Mesh

 In mesh go to the Statistics and make update and mesh is update.

 Then fill the details of mesh.
 Then specify the name of INLET, OUTLET and WALL and make it update.
 Then go to the file > close meshing.
STEP – 4 : Setup

 This photo is first step of setup.

 Fill the detail in Gravity.
 Then go to Material > Water-liquid.
 Then go to boundary condition > Inlet fill the detail.
 Then reference value > Inlet > Fluid.
 Initialization > Standard initialization > compute from inlet.
 Calculation activities > fill detail.
 Path line > viscosity.
 Run calculation > parameters > Start process.
 This photo is graph of calculation process.

STEP – 5 : Result

 In result set inlet > outlet > wall > wall solid.
 Then select streamline > start from inlet go towards to outlet > additionally
some FILE NAME give name for X > then specify top central top for Y >
legend fix this one > RUN.
