Assignment.

1. What part of the building or activities that you need to estimate in the following;
a. Earthworks
b. Concreting
c. Rebar
d. Masonry

2. A septic tank is to be constructed to serve for a family of 8 persons. The size of a septic tank is
2300 mm x 1500 mm x 1500mm. Determine the following;

a. volume excavated. (10 points)


b. for concreting, compute the cement, sand and gravel (using class A) (20 points)
i. top and bottom slab,
ii. footing 6pcs- 0.60mx0.60m x 20cm and
iii. column 6pcs- 20cmx20cm
c. For masonry (20 points)
i. how many 4 inches of CHB
ii. mortar and filler using class B (cement and sand)
ii. plastering using class B thk-20mm (cement and sand) interior only
