What are “digital magazines”?
Digital magazines are the electronic versions of print magazines
that you can read on your computer, smartphone, iPad or tablet!
What is RB Digital?
RB Digital is a service that provides digital magazines for free
through the library!
How many magazines can I take out and for how long?
You can take out an unlimited number of magazines for an
unlimited amount of time! You never have to wait and there are
never any late fees!

Initial Set-Up
1. Create a RB Digital Account (must be done through the website, not the
app). Go to
[Link] OR find
“RB Digital” in our e-Library section of our website, [Link].
2. Click on Create a new account. Enter your library card number, name,
email, and then create a password for your RB Digital account. Whenever
you log into your account you will use your email and this password.
Magazines on the computer:
Click on Browse Magazines
Use the search bar or the genre drop down to find a magazine
Click on the cover of a magazine to view more information about it
or to view back issues.
Once you’ve found a magazine, click on Checkout.
A pop up will appear and you can select Start Reading to view the
magazine.
Use the arrows to turn the pages forward or back. The icons on the
left provide options to view the table of contents, add a bookmark,
and zoom in or out. You can also select “text view” for easy reading.
When you’re finished reading, simply close the tab. To view all the
magazines you have checked out on your account, click on the icon
and then My Magazine Collection. You can delete magazines from
your account on this screen as well.
Magazines on a smartphone, tablet or iPad
Download the RB Digital app onto your device. This process is
different depending on what type of device you have. Generally, if it
is an Apple product (iPhone or iPad) you will download it from the
App store. If it is an Android product (Samsung, Google phone, LG,
etc.) you will download it from the Google Play store.
Open the RB Digital app once it’s downloaded. Select Canada as
the country and then enter your email and password.
On the home page you can browse magazines. Tap on “View All” in
the bottom right to see more magazines and to browse by genre.
Use the magnifying glass to search for a title. To view genres, first click
on View All. Then tap on filter, tap on genre, select the genre, and
then tap on search.
Tap on the cover to view more information and to view back issues.
Once you’ve found a title you want to read, tap on CHECK OUT.
Once checked out, the CHECK OUT button will change to say READ.
Tap on this button to open the magazine.
To view all your checkouts, tap on the menu in the top left corner
and tap on Checked Out.
From this screen you can manage downloads. When you download
a magazine, you can read it without being connected ot the
Internet.
