CULVERT DESIGN

The design of culverts is critical in ensuring effective water management and infrastructure
resilience. This project explores comprehensive culvert design strategies, focusing on
hydrological, hydraulic, geotechnical, and environmental factors. By analyzing local
precipitation patterns, runoff characteristics, and soil conditions, the project aims to
develop optimized culvert designs that effectively manage water flow, minimize erosion,
and support structural stability. Advanced modeling techniques and field data are utilized
to predict peak flow rates and sediment transport, ensuring the culverts are appropriately
sized and positioned. Additionally, the project addresses environmental impacts,
incorporating sustainable practices to protect water quality and maintain habitat
connectivity. The resulting design guidelines will provide robust, efficient, and
environmentally friendly solutions for culvert implementation in various settings,
enhancing both safety and infrastructure longevity.

RÉSUMÉ

CULVERT DESIGN
