CX Questions:
1. Is there any abnormal noise/difference in driving after engine light came ON?
NO: Drive smoothly to home or safe location.
 Turn OFF the car, check whether the fuel cap is tightly closed.
 Start the vehicle as usual after some time. If the light goes OFF, then
no problem.
(check light might appear sometimes due to sudden changes in temp
& humidity)
 If the Fuel efficiency(mileage) has been dropping after the light came
ON, then 02 sensor must be checked. (O2 sensor covered in
comprehensive warranty)
YES:
2. Do you feel Jerk or lag when accelerating or climbing a slope with abnormal
noise after light came ON?
NO: If the acceleration is very slow but without any jerk with heavy smoke in
exhaust, then the Catalytic converter is faulty. (Not covered in warranty)
YES: the fault might be with
 Spark plugs (Not covered in warranty)
 Injectors (Not covered in warranty)
 MAF sensor (covered in comprehensive warranty)
Get an OBD(On Board Diagnostics) scanned on your car to rule out the issue.
If the OBD doesn’t read any fault codes related to the above issues, then
check
 ECM, EVAP, EGR (covered in comprehensive warranty)
A Technician must diagnose the issue.

1. Is the gear shifting hard/Tight only for few Km after a cold start (starting after
long time)?
YES: the transmission fluids require 10-15 mins or 7-9 Km to warm up and
circulate well.
NO: Check the transmission fluids and replace if required. (Not covered in
warranty)
if transmission fluid level and condition is fine, then
2. Check for Brake/Clutch fluid condition and Level.
Brake Fluid is not OK. Replace the Fluid. (Not covered in warranty)
If Brake Fluid OK, then
3. Is all gear shifting hard or only one or few gear shifting is hard/tight?
Only selective gears like 1st ,2nd… : Synchronizer of that gear is worn out.
Replace that synchronizer. (covered in warranty)
All gear shifting is Hard:
4. Turn OFF the engine and try shifting the gears. Is it smoother than before?
NO: then the shifting cable/links are faulty. Replace them. (covered in
comprehensive warranty)
YES: Then the problem is with the clutch system. (Not covered in warranty)
If the clutch system is okay, then the fault might be with
Gear wheel or Bearings. (covered in warranty)
A Technician must diagnose the issue.

CX Questions

1. Do you hear squealing noise(char-char-char sound) from the engine?


YES: the Belts might be worn out. Replace it. (Not covered in warranty)
NO:
2. Check the engine oil level using the Dipstick. Is it above the minimum level
(lower dot)?
NO: Low engine oil causes rattling (vibration and noise) and tappet noise(tik-
tik sound).
Refill oil to required level. (Not covered in warranty)
YES: oil level OK. Then,
3. Do you feel high vibrations in the car during starting/Idling?
YES:
 If vibration is felt on the steering wheel, then the A-mount is Fault.
 If vibration is felt on the Gear, Centre console. Then C-mount is Fault.
 If vibration is felt on the passenger side, the B-mount is faulty.
All the mounts are Not covered in warranty.
4. Do you hear loud noise like racing car?
YES: the exhaust system might be damaged or has leakage. Repair required.
 Exhaust manifold, Gasket & Muffler are covered in comprehensive
warranty.
 Other parts of Exhaust system subject to damage are Not covered in
warranty.
5. Is Rattling / uneven noise heard with jerk and RPM needle fluctuation during
idling?
YES: Engine is Misfiring. Technician must diagnose the issue as soon as
possible.

Fault could be with


 Spark Plug / Ignition coil (Not covered in warranty)
 Fuel Injectors (Not covered in warranty)

NO: then the Fault could be with


 Timing chain (covered in warranty)
 Piston & rings (covered in warranty)
 Connecting rods, etc. (covered in warranty)

A Technician must diagnose the issue.
