Introduction to Motor Insurance Policy Schedule of Depreciation for fixing IDV of the vehicle
A Motor Insurance Policy is mandatory under the Motor Vehicle Act * ensuring that the two-wheeler owner is
protected from financial losses, caused by damage or theft to the vehicle and third party liability Age of the vehicle % of Depreciation
What does the Policy Cover?
1. Legal Liability due to accidental damage for any permanent injury/death of a person. Not exceeding 6 months 5%

Warranty statement pro-rata
1. In consideration of the premium for this extension being calculated at a pro-rata proportion of the annual premium, it is hereby declared and agreed by the insured that upon expiry of this extension, this policy shall be
renewed for a period of twelve months, failing which the difference between the extension premium now paid on pro rata basis and the premium at short period rate shall become payable by the insured.

or upon renewal. This value adjusts each year according to the depreciation rates specified in your policy. During your policy period, the IDV serves as the
Market Value for Total Loss (TL), Constructive Total Loss (CTL), or Cash loss claims without further depreciation. Your vehicle will be declared a CTL if the total
cost of retrieval or repair exceeds 75% of the IDV, in line with your policy’s terms and conditions.

Section I: Loss of or Damage to the Vehicle Insured
The Company will indemnify the insured against loss or damage to the vehicle insured hereunder and/or its accessories whilst thereon
i. by fire explosion self ignition or lightning; ii. by burglary housebreaking or theft;
iii. by riot and strike;
iv. by earthquake (fire and shock damage);
v. by flood typhoon hurricane storm tempest inundation cyclone hailstorm frost;
vi. by accidental external means;

Section II: Lability to Third Parties Company will indemnify the insured in the event of an accident caused by or arising out of the use of the insured
vehicle against all sums which the insured shall become legally liable to pay in respect of
i) death of or bodily injury to any person including occupants carried in the insured vehicle (provided such occupants are not carried for hire or reward) but
except so far as it is necessary to meet the requirements of Motor Vehicles Act, the Company shall not be liable where such death or injury arises out of and
in the course of the employment of such person by the insured,
ii) damage to property other than property belonging to the insured or held in trust or in the custody or control of the insured. Section III – Personal
Accident Cover for Owner-Driver
Company to pay compensation as per the scale (mentioned in policy document) for bodily injury/ death sustained by the owner-driver of the vehicle, in direct
connection with the vehicle insured or whilst driving or mounting into/dismounting from the vehicle insured or whilst traveling in it as a co-driver, caused by
violent accidental external and visible means which independent of any other cause shall within six calendar months of such injury.

hereunder the insured shall prove that the accidental loss damage and/or liability arose independently of and was in no way connected with or occasioned
by or contributed to by or traceable to any of the said occurrences or any consequences thereof and in default of such proof, the Company shall not be
liable to make any payment in respect of such a claim.

Admissibility of Claim Admissibility of claim depends on the document submitted for the damaged vehicle claimed by the insured in reference to event /peril / term and condition of

Surveyor will verify the document and assess the loss as per policy term / condition and coverage mentioned in the policy.
