Cubic System & Semiconductor Materials

The cubic system is a highly symmetric structure characterized by equal axes and right angles, with examples including Silver and Diamond. Semiconductor materials, which lie between conductors and insulators, are crucial in electronics, with Silicon being the most common due to its abundance and favorable properties. Doping these materials with elements like boron or phosphorus allows for the creation of transistors, making them essential for devices like computers and smartphones.

7 Cubic System It‟s the highly symmetric system in which all the three angles intersect to each
other at 90° or we can say at the right angled. It has all the axes of equal lengths. For Example Silver,
Gold, Garnet, Diamond 1.2 Semi-conductor Materials Semiconductor materials are those materials
which have properties between conductors and insulators. These materials are used extensively in
electronic devices such as computers, smartphones, and televisions. Silicon is abundant, easy to
process, and has desirable electrical properties. Semiconductor materials are doped, or intentionally
impregnated with small amounts of other elements, in order to modify their electrical properties.
For example, adding impurities such as boron or phosphorus to silicon can create a material with
either a positive or negative charge, respectively, allowing it to function as a transistor. Overall,
semiconductor materials are essential for modern electronics, and their properties. Semiconductor
materials are important in the field of electronics because it produce devices like transistors. Some
common semiconductor materials include:  Silicon (Si) It is abundant and relatively inexpensive, and
it is used to make many electronic devices, including solar cells. Germanium (Ge) Germanium was
one of the first materials used in the production of transistors. It has fallen out of favor in recent
years due to its higher cost and lower performance compared to silicon.  Gallium arsenide (GaAs):
Gallium arsenide is a compound semiconductor that is used
