The missing ring

I wondered why the foster family had given me so many chores. They always told me this, do
that! However, I did not refuse to do chores; assuredly they would criticize me if I misbehaved.
One day, when I finished cleaning the foster room, they rushed out, claiming their diamond ring
had disappeared. You must have stolen it, they shouted at me. I was very terrified soran away.
Adam, the person in charge of the foster family, chased me through the streets, but I was fast. He
lost me after a while. I found a place to rest. A solution hit me as I looked at the birds flying in
the sky. I thought of my brother, Aiden. I had his address card! He gave it to me to find him if I
ever needed him. This is the time I required Aiden! That's when I found out he was leaving for
Japan tomorrow! I immediately began my search for him.
I studied the address card carefully and found out my brother, Aiden, also lives in New York! I
went to his house to find him, but to my disappointment, nobody responded. I realized he must
be at work! I searched for information about Aiden all around America. After I found out his
work address, I headed there. On the way, I bought myself some food because I did not eat lunch
and I was starving.
I went to his office, but his assistants told me he had already left. I decided to pack my things at
the foster house and go to Aiden's house to live. When I returned to the foster family's house
door, I heard a loud noise. It was as loud as a noisy zoo! After I listened more carefully, I found
out that Aiden was arguing with the foster family about the missing diamond ring. In a rage, the
foster family tied him up! Darkness warned my body not to go in. My body shuddered. I ran and
ran and arrived at a library.
I calmed myself down. I was terrified that Aiden would get hurt. I thought of the things he had
done for me, so I decided to go back to the foster family's house to save him.
At midnight, I came back to their house. After I confirmed that the foster family was sleeping, I
pushed the door. Creak! To my surprise, the door opened. My eyes darted to Aiden, who was
sleeping and tied to a chair. Holding my breath, I woke him up and untied him. At last, we ran
away.
The next day, when the foster family woke up, they found out Aiden was missing. They were
furious, and just as they were about to report us, their pet excreted. The diamond ring was in the
feline scat, glittering as the sunshine shone. The cat had eaten it all along! The foster family
apologized to us, and we lived happily ever after.
The foster family had lost their diamond ring! They accuse me of stealing it! Will I help them
solve the mystery? Or will they report me? It is a case for me to solve!
