Assignment 17

Podcast Question

One of the most energizing people I have worked with was the director
overseeing all restaurants and hotels in my previous company. This reminds
me of what Kim Cameron discussed in a podcast, sharing the story of the
CEO of Campbell Soup. Each day, the CEO visited all departments involved in
aspects of hotel and restaurant operations to personally say thank you and
check in with employees, especially impactful during a time when half of
them was working remotely. This made a difference: employees in every
department felt valued for their contributions, which helped them flourish
and understand how their work made a meaningful impact. The director
shared with me that those 30 minutes each day helped maintain positive
energy. He knew it worked, as every Friday, employees could send
anonymous or signed notes of appreciation, and he was receiving a lot of
valuable feedback.
