JEE Math - Faster Calculation Tricks

1. Multiplying Numbers Close to 100:

96 x 98 -> 96 - 2 = 94, (-4)*(-2) = 8 -> Answer = 9408

2. Square of Numbers Ending in 5:

85^2 = (8*9) & 25 -> 7225

3. Square of Numbers Near 50:

52^2 = 2500 + 100*2 + 2^2 = 2704

4. Multiply Any Number by 11:

42 x 11 -> 4 (4+2) 2 = 462

5. Multiplying by 5, 25, 125:

48 x 25 = (48 * 100)/4 = 1200

6. Cube of Numbers Ending in 5:

15^3 = (10+5)^3 = 1000 + 1500 + 750 + 125 = 3375

7. Shortcut for Recurring Decimals:

0.7272... = 72/99 = 8/11
