Scene 2: Deserted place.
B: Last night, I was dreaming of living in a house made of chocolate.
Suddenly, the scene changed and I found myself standing in a
deserted place. In front of me appeared 4 great men. (Introduces the
4 great men). Buddha was the first to speak:
GB: I’m tired of the violence all around the world. If they continue
this, they will doom themselves.
MG: Let the business of life be peace and prosperity, and not
exploitation and conflict.
GB: Injustice is woven into the fabric of our daily lives. Our
responsibility is to unravel it thread by thread, and replace it with
peace, compassion and understanding.
AL: Since we all belong to planet Earth we may give a message to
mankind, how people of different races and religions live peacefully
and prosperously together.
A(emotionally): Friends, there is one thing I have realized, there is no
victory in causing suffering. Triumph is a peaceful kingdom. I carry
deep remorse for my past actions. What I acquired of it was nothing
but a kingdom full of widows, fatherless children and mourning
mothers. It is never too late to change. We must not accept violence
and injustice in silence; we each have a role in creating a more
compassionate world.
AL: This is our message to the planet. Everything that we do, any
doctrine that we espouse, should be for the good of humankind.
(Back to present)
B: (addressing the audience) As humans, we all have the power to
create a peaceful world. Change starts with each of us; it begins
within.
B1+B2: (repenting) We learnt our lesson. (turning to TG) We are
sorry TG.
B: (To the audience)It took me a philosophical dream to change , for
you it may just be a skit.
