ORAL PRESENTATION – GUESS WHO

Good afternoon everybody! My oral presentation today is about one singer and how she
brings people together. But you’ll have to guess who she is. First, I’ll talk about the
artist’s personal life, and then I’m going to move on to her main achievements. Finally,
I’ll explain how this famous singer brings people together. I’ll be happy to answer any
questions at the end of my presentation.
Biography- She is known for being a Colombian singer, but she is also a record
producer, dancer, model, fashion designer and television actress. She was born in
Barranquilla, Colombia, in 1977. Her physical description is that she is 1.57 m tall, with
fair skin, blond hair, a triangular face, large dark eyes and thick lips. Her physical build
is athletic as she performs various sports activities such as surfing and skating. She likes
experimenting with different sounds including pop, Latino and reggaeton. Some of her
most famous songs include “La, la, la”, “Loca” and “Chantaje”.
Main achievements- Now I’m going to move on to her main achievements. She
started writing poems at the age of 4 and turned them into songs. She participated in a
television contest and won 3 consecutive years. At the age of 13 she began to gain
popularity, but it wasn't until she was 18 years old when she had her first hit: "Donde
estas corazón". Since realizing her first album in 1991, she has sold more than 80
million records, won 3 Grammys Awards and 12 Latin Grammys Awards.
She revolutionized the whole world and thanks to her success she has done six concert
tours worldwide, and she has performed in 9 music festivals. In 2010, she became the
interpreter of the official song of the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, "Waka
Waka", being the singer's biggest hit. She also performed at the famous Super Bowl in
2020 with Jennifer Lopez, they were dancing in front of 100 million spectators.
At the age of 34 she received the Person of the Year award. Currently, she is still very
present in the music scene and is preparing a new album. She has become the best-
selling international artist of the 21st century.

how can music bring people together? - She has been bringing audiences together to
enjoy her live performances, and these have sold out! Also, people love from her that
she has announced 45 million dollars donation for a charity. Millions of people would
like to see her perform… In her concerts she makes people more motivated to repeat an
experience like this. The music is living with intensity.
