This room is located on the second floor of the C3B building of Hanoi
University of Science and Technology. It is a large room painted in white. There
are many tables, appliances in this room. Because there is an exam today, there
are a lot of examinees like me, and 3 supervisors in the room. Everyone looks
serious. Hope l can get good grade on my exam!

What are you wearing today ?

I am wearing a black T - shirt and jeans today. I'm wearing this outfit because the
weather today is quite hot and sunny and I like the black color because it makes me
look thinner. I am also going to hang out with my friends since today is Sunday.
So, I decided to wear something that makes me comfortable.

Tell me about the favourite film

Tom and Jerry is a film associated with my childhood which is one of my favourite
film. Tom and Jerry movie about 2 characters cat Tom misery and clever mouse
Jerry mischievous. These are 2 enemies living in a house.

Please describe your typical day

I usually start my day at six in the morning, brush my teeth, wash my face and
have breakfast. At 7, I ride to school to study, meet my teachers and friends. My
school is over at 5pm. I usually do some sports after that. At 6pm, I have a bath
and help my mom to cook the meal. Then, we have dinner at 7pm. From 8 to
10pm, I usually do my homework. I have a habit of listening to my favourite
songs or reading books before going to bed at 11pm.
What are the popular sports in your country?

Well, it goes without saying that there are quite a variety of sports in my country.
But the most popular would be swimming. And the explanation for this could be
that it not only releases stress, and refreshes your mind but also benefits all your
muscles. Another popular team sport would be football, simply because it's the
king of sports. Additionally, there are other kinds of sports like tennis and
volleyball, but they are not as widely-played as the first two.

What do people in your country like to read?

I believe that is contingent on their age. Doraemon, a Japanese manga series, is one
of the most popular children's books due to its exciting tales and vibrant visuals.
Older adults, on the other hand, are more likely to read the newspaper as a source
of daily news updates or books about economics, literature, and everyday
knowledge.

Descibe the first school

The school I want to talk about is absolutely primary school. It is located in
Nguyen Thi Dinh street. I went there when I was 5 years old .The first thing I
noticed about this place was its attractive design. The decoration and setup in each
room was unique so that students could have a creative space to learn better.

Clearly, there are a number of obvious merits of using public transportation.

One of the major benefits of using public transport is that it reduces air pollution.
When more and more people use public transport, there will be fewer private cars
on the road. This helps reduce air pollution and thus improves air quality. Another
advantage is that people can be more productive while taking public transportation.
When you are driving, you have to focus on the road ahead of you. But if you take
public transportation, you can finish an assignment, read a book or let your mind
wander.

One of the main causes of traffic jams is that the majority of people prefer using
their own vehicles instead of public transport.
3. How to encourage people to use public transport?
There are many/several/multiple ways in which we can encourage people to use
public transport.
The government can encourage people to use public transport by providing offers
to travelers such as one free ride for every hundred trips, special concessions for
senior citizens, and other benefits for travelers.

last for the rest of their lives. When parents and children spend time
together, it also helps create beautiful and lasting memories
 Besides, spending time together also teaches children about how to interact
with others by developing respect and empathy ? them. Finally, spending
time together also allows the parents to "discipline" their children, should
they go "astray", which is absolutely important to help them become good
citizens in the future.
 3. How do parents and children spend time together?
- Families often spend time together both outdoors and indoors. In detail, they
participate in not only outdoor activities like badminton, tennis and so on, but
also indoor ones such as: puzzles, watching TV and so on. In Vietnamparents
are busy most of the days, but they try to spend a bit of time with their kids in
the evenings. That's why we usually have dinner together. Parents also help kids
with their homework for school or study English or other subjects.

1. Describe
In the first picture, I see there are 3 people: a man, a woman and a little girl. The
man and the woman are about 30 years old and the kid is about 6 yrs. I guess they
are a family. I also can see that they are play chess in the living room. They seem
so happy. In the second picture, I see there is a 7 year-old boy playing video
games. Looking at the background, I guess he is playing in the living room, too. I
guess he enjoys the game a lot as he is paying a lot attention to what he is doing.

2. Do you prefer playing chess or playing video games?

This is a very interesting question. To be honest/ From my perspective/ Frankly
speaking, I prefer playing chess rather than playing chess because of several
reasons. First of all, it will help me to enhance some cognitive skills such as
memory, attention to detail, problem solving as well as analytical thinking. Next,
chess also fosters social interactions. There are lots of chess clubs for me to join,
by enrolling in these clubs, I will have more new friends that have the same
interests as me. Last but not least, playing chess also helps me let my hair down
after a hectic week.

3. Are outdoor activities important? Why

I strong believe that outdoor activities play an important role in our life because of
several reasons. First, it helps us improve our physical health, regular outdoor
exercise can help prevent conditions like obesity, heart disease, and diabetes. Next,
it will encourage social interaction, enhance communication skills, and build
lasting relationships. Finally, when people participate in outdoor activities, they
will have chances to be exposed to the nature. From that, they can feel more
comfortable as they can enjoy the fresh air which is very beneficial for their lungs.

I always prefer to eat alone. I don't want anyone to sit near me at the table or even
to be in the same room. I just feel uncomfortable and I want to be able to enjoy my
meal without any distractions. I don't want to be seen performing my weird rituals
around food too.

I believe that cooking at home is preferred by those who have time, love to cook or
have a limited budget. And people with busy jobs-outside don't always have time
to cook. They like the convenience of eating out and they have a lot of money

3. How do different places to eat affect people?

I think different places to eat give different atmospheres and emotions. If we eat at
home, we will feel more comfortable to talk talking to each other, which creates
warmth in the family. On the other hand, eating out can be uncomfortable because
they have to be polite. Therefore, we should consider choosing a suitable place to
eat

1. Describe these two pictures?
Two pictures are about books. People in these two pictures are reading books.
They seems very focused on reading. But I can see the difference between them.
For example, while the first picture, they are in the library, people in the second
one are reading at home. Personally, I prefer picture one because I like reading
books in my school library.

2. Which of thes two places do you like to read books in?

Reading books at home is my choice for this question, this is because reading
books at home makes me feel comfortable. I can lay on my bed or sit on a sofa to
read without any shyness.

3. Why do poeple need to read books?

You know, reading books is beneficial for people. For example, it can help people
improve their knowledge, form vocabulary and grammar structures. Therefore, I
believe that reading is crucial for each person.

In the first picture I can see a wonderful beach. The water is blue. It looks clear and
clean. I think it's a popular beach because people have walked on the sand. But
there are no people in the picture. It's a beautiful sight.

The second picture is quite different. It is also showing nature but this is a field. It
looks like a farm or a place where animals live. I can see a barn on the left side, but
I can't see any animals. I think a cowboy lives here. There is a hat and a gun in the
front of the picture. I can also see many trees in the background.
2. Which of these two places do you think children would prefer? Why?
I think children would prefer the beach because at the beach there are many
activities for children. They can play in the sand and make sand castles. They can
go swimming and they can play with a ball. I want to go to the beach on the
weekend with my children and we can have a barbecue. Sometimes we go to Half
Moon beach by car.

3. Which of these two places would you prefer to go on holiday? Why?

I would like to go to the beach for a holiday because I can do shade. I can also
make a barbecue with my family and have a nice time. I think the countryside
would be boring. There are many activities on the beach. I can relax and enjoy my
free time. I can read a book, listen to music and lie down with nothing to do in the
countryside.

ĐỀ: SAVE MONEY
I had to save a large sum of money when I bought my first car for more

conveniently travelling to work. I can’t remember the exact date, but I suspect it’s

6 years ago.

On top of that, this was when I left home to live independently, and I wanted

to pay my own way so that I refused to lend money from my parents. It all seems

that I was living on the breadline and couldn’t afford this purchase.

Fortunately, I had a full-time job and earned a good salary and an extra

income from some freelance projects during my free time. But it may take years to

get enough money to buy my car if I just kept living on the fast lane. So, to save

money, I decided to cut down on luxuries and avoid exceeding my agreed credit

limit. Then, I called my financial consultant and accepted a bank loan for my

purchase. Also, I didn’t miss this opportunity to get a good deal as the car price

was going cheap and finally I can drive to work everyday.

I was very comfortable with my car and satisfied with my saving. But I think the

point is I learn a saving lessons and make my saving habit for a bigger money

like buying a house in the future.”

Last summer, I had a great summer holiday. After finishing final exams at

university, I went to Halong bay with my friends. This was the first time I got there

so I was super excited. We stayed at a beautiful homestay. I visited many famous

attractions, enjoyed many kinds of seafood, and went for a swim. I also took a lot

of pictures. The nature here was amazing. We went to Halong water park, and it

was the biggest water park I have seen. I had such a great time with my friends.

We spent almost a week there and we didn’t want to go back to Hanoi. Everything

was great except there were too many visitors and sometimes we had to wait very

long.

For the third question, I think people enjoy holiday because:

 First, traveling to new places, people can discover stunning places and
delicious food. They can also learn about new cultures and traditions of local
people
 Second, traveling creates many chances to meet and make new friends,
 Besides, visiting new places, we can take stunning photos and have great
memories. .
 Personally, my next summer is to have a holiday with my family in South
Korea,

TEAMWORK
Tell me a time when you had to work with other people?
Oh, i often work with other, especially in my company, i work team everyday. Last
night, we had to finish a slide for our upcoming company event to send our leader.
Because the time is too short, we shared it together to get to done as quickly as
possiple and result we finished it before 10pm and Our leader tell us that it very
good. We very happy about that.
How do you feel about working as part of a team?
When i am working as part of my team, i feel happier, higher productivity and
don't being alone. Because i am an extrovert person, very friendly and sociable, i
don't want to work alone, it is very boring.
What are the characteristics of a successful team?
I think to build a successful team, we need to have the same goal, each person
needs openly with the other, sharing us idea, thought and experience with other.
And each person must have responsibility with our team.

Describe an extreme sport you have seen or played.
How do you feel about it?
Do you think that only adults are allowed to play extreme sports?

Sometimes skiing video popped on my newsfeed on Facebook. As a person who is
craving for snow, I have always wanted to try this action sport. When I was a
freshman, I went abroad to Canada during my summer vacation. Then like a dream
came true, my parents took me to a mountain and there it was my first time skiing.
I fall over and over again and I had never been successful in this activity.

At the beginning, I felt scared because the hill was steep and at the same time my
face turned pale because of cold. After a while, I had been more familiar and it was
a milestone for me that I would smile every time I think about it. The name
"extreme sport" has defined itself. Because of its risk and danger relating to both
physical and mental health, action sports require the participants to have stable
health. Not only children, but also people with cardiovascular problems can not
take part in these activities.

This topic reminds me of an experience when I taught my grandma how to use her
newly-bought smartphone.
More or less 3 months ago, after my nerve-racking exam season, I was in desperate
need of a short break. That’s why I decided to go back to my hometown to visit my
granny who is around 80 years old now. She’s also my best friend. The day I
arrived at her house, I saw her struggling with her brand new iPhone.
She’s been long known for her absent-mindedness, so I doubt that she could
remember how to use such a sophisticated gadget. You know, the elderly didn’t
have any exposure to cutting-edge technology when they were young like us, so
this was much of a challenge for her. Therefore, I patently taught my granny how
to use her phone.
I told her to jot down every single thing I taught her, such as how to swipe the
screen to find her favorite applications, or how to zoom an image with two fingers.
She wasn’t a very quick learner, though. It’s quite obvious, as I believe the aging
process is doing its job, so I kept repeating everything to her and tried not to lose
my temper.
Well I am also proud to say that I am a self-possessed individual, so after 2
months, she nailed it. I mean, she is now able to make a video call by herself and
create her own Instagram account without anybody’s assistance. I guess this can be
seen as a success for both of us.

LAUGHING WITH FRIENDS

Describe a person who made you laugh happily when you were a child
I’ve had several funny experiences in my life, in most of them I am the butt of the
joke. This is luckily not one of those stories, which is a story of my little brother.
When we were younger, perhaps 5 or 6 years old, our parents took us to visit a
petting farm. We loved animals when we were younger and were able to interact
with some directly would make us ecstatic.
The ride to the petting zoo was filled with conversations of all the animals we
hoped to see and play with. Our imagination ran wild of course, from common
animals like pigs and ducks, to more interesting animals like dragons and unicorns.
Before you know it we were at this little farm in the outskirts of the city filled with
families and animals. We played with all the standard farm animals you can think
of, but then came a llama, which was something we had never seen in real life.
I had seen them on TV and heard about how they would spit on people if they
were annoyed. My mischievous brain instantly came up with a plan. I told my
brother that if he approached a llama and laughed really hard in its face, it would
laugh along with him. He of course rushed over, climbed on the fence and
started cackling like a madman.
The llama did not appreciate this of course, reared back it’s head and spat right on
my brother’s face. It was the single greatest moment in my life up to that point and
I doubled over in laughter until my belly hurt. My brother of course was not happy
with it or with me.
