The programme aims to provide a comfortable communicative experience for


users, facilitating connection between individuals regardless of distance. It inte-
grates professional, social, technological, and cultural elements, with a distinctive
approach based on methodologies and platforms for the development of quality
software. This includes access to the latest technologies and a structure focused
on methods rather than just content, fostering critical thinking, solidarity, and
entrepreneurial skills. This approach ensures the programme remains relevant
and coherent with its mission by constantly innovating according to technological
changes and the needs of the business sector and workers, ultimately impact-
ing productivity, competitiveness, equity, and national development positively.
Upon completing their training, apprentices in the “Tecnología en Desarrollo
Multimedia y Web” programme will be able to work in roles and sectors related
to the creation and sale of software and audiovisual content, both in physical
and digital environments. This market offers opportunities at various levels.
The programme, with code 217320, is offered in a virtual modality and has a
duration of 27 months. The rapid influx of new technologies into the country
is transforming the demand and expectations for new products and services.
Therefore, the training in IT areas becomes crucial for Colombia to address the
challenges in the short, medium, and long term. The SENA’s programme seeks to
offer this integration of professional, social, technological, and cultural formation.
The competencies to be developed include formulating and elaborating multime-

multimedia projects following technical procedures, and integrating multimedia

the “Tecnología en Desarrollo Multimedia y Web” programme are trained inte-
grally with competencies related to supporting and creating multimedia processes
and content using information and communication technologies that require
constant updates. This generates a need for professionals and technologists in
priority sectors, both nationally and internationally, in areas such as marketing,
advertising, and communications, allowing them to work in both the public and
private sectors. The technologist developed in this programme should possess a
strong sense of responsibility and the capacity to undertake activities such as
project administration, teamwork, client interaction, leadership, autonomy, and
resilience to current changes. The methodological strategy of the programme
is centred on building autonomy to ensure the quality of training within the
framework of competency-based training, project-based learning, and the use
of active teaching techniques that stimulate thinking for solving simulated and
real problems. This is supported by the use of information and communication
technologies (ICT), integrated into workshops aimed at combining practice with
knowledge, thus recreating the productive context and linking the apprentice
with daily reality and the development of competencies.
