STRESS MANAGEMENT

Researchers define stress as a physical, mental, or emotional response to events that causes
bodily or mental tension. Stress is any outside force or event that has an effect on our body
or mind. Stress is the body’s automatic response to any physical or mental demand placed on
it.

Stress is a normal psychological and physical reaction to the demands of life. A small amount
of stress can be good and thus motivating to perform well. But many challenges daily, such as
sitting in traffic, meeting deadlines and paying bills, can be beyond ability to cope. Small
experiences of stressors can result in temporary stress, while helping us face future
frustrations, challenges, disappointments, and angst.

Stress management gives you a range of tools to reset and to recalibrate your alarm system. It
can help your mind and body adapt (resilience). Without it, your body might always be on
high alert. Over time, chronic stress can lead to serious health problems.

an individual’s mental health. Our family and loved ones have a greater impact on our
minds, and thus they may help with anxiety and depression.

2. Give yourself plenty of time to finish important tasks. Try not to wait until the last
minute. Plan and organize your tasks in such a manner that important tasks can be finished
easily and well in time. Use an organizer to maintain your progress. This helps to boost
confidence.

3. Reframe the problem. If a problem occurs, rethink the intensity of the problem, and
discuss your problems with seniors, family members or an expert. In such cases, a person
must take the help of a professional

happy hormones are released after a great exercise routine.

from getting overwhelmed.
6. Eat a healthy diet. A 2021 study found that participants who ate a diet rich in fruits
and vegetables had lower stress levels. Consumption of healthy and digestive foods leads
to the release of Dopamine which is a food hormone.

7. Take a break from the news or social media. Social media can worsen mental
health so it can be beneficial to take a break every once in a while.

8. Practice mindfulness. Mindfulness examples can include yoga, meditation,

and journaling.

9. Get out in nature. This can be as simple as sitting on a park bench watching the
birds. It is important to inhale and exhale fresh air. This helps to fight breathlessness and
mental diseases.
