What is one artifact/assignment that shows your growth over this


semester? Please explain.
I really enjoyed doing the learning progression presentation. This assignment showed me
how I can present learning and when I did geography it showed that I can use Different
methods of. Teaching geometry and seeing my peers do the same too. When I saw them
do their math teaching videos. I like how you gave us the choice of how we wanted to
present our research that we did.
2. What grade would you give yourself for this class? Why?
I think I'll give her myself a B because there were some concepts that I struggled with.
And math is not my strong suit, so when I taught, it was difficult for me to realize what
the children needed to do but this class really helped me to understand why math is so
important.
3. What did you learn about yourself in this class?
I learned that. I need more practice to be confident in teaching math or subjects that I
don't quite understand. Was doing all these projects and the different skills that I would
need to teach math really helped me to understand why it is so important to be confident
in what you are teaching. I also learned from my teacher that even if I don't understand a
concept, the children We'll show you or tell you that they don't understand something, so
reteaching would be an option and it's OK to reteach things. She said it took her a year to
be confident in math teaching and going to conferences about and how it can help
children to learn math More effectively.
4. What do you know now that you didn't know in August?
I learned that math is really an important part of Children's life
because they use it every day and they are steppingstones for higher
math and if they don't understand something, it is OK to reteach them
or get the help that they need. I also learned it is important to talk with
your colleagues about math strategies they might use in their room,
and it might help you or find out what helps your class learn.
5. What do you think you will remember in 5 years?
i think i remember the steppingstone in math and how every detail
that we put into our lesson plans and objectives; every student needs
to be able to do that by the end of the lesson. I'll remember that books
could help me to teach a lesson and there are books out there that will
help them understand the concepts of the math objective. I think our
also I think are also. About low floor, high ceiling tasks for when I do
get my own classroom and be able to Teach them valuable skills.
