Introduction
This Illustrated Parts Catalogue contains illustrations of parts and assemblies of the GA8 for use in
when ordering replacement parts and assemblies. The information presented in this catalogue is
current at the time of issue. This Illustrated Parts Catalogue must not be used as a guide for parts
removal and installation. Servicing information is contained in the GA8 Service Manual.
The information in this publication is updated, supplemented and automatically amended by all
information issued in Service Letters, Service Bulletins, Revisions, Reissues and Temporary
Revisions. Users of this Illustrated Parts Catalogue should ensure they have the latest
amendments to this publication which are available from Gippsland Aeronautics.
WARNING
All inspection intervals, replacement time limits, overhaul time limits, inspection methods, life
limits, cycle limits etc., recommended by Gippsland Aeronautics are based only on the use of
new, remanufactured or overhauled Gippsland Aeronautics approved parts. The use of parts
designed, manufactured, remanufactured overhauled and/or approved outside Gippsland
Aeronautics invalidates the data in Gippsland Aeronautics Service Manuals and Parts
Catalogues and the purchaser is warned not to rely on Gippsland Aeronautics data for such
parts. All inspection intervals, replacement time limits, overhaul time limits, inspection
methods, life limits, cycle limits etc. for non-Gippsland Aeronautics parts must be obtained
from the manufacturer/seller of such parts.
Should errors or omissions be found within this Illustrated Parts Catalogue please contact
Gippsland Aeronautics with the relevant page number and the error or omission.
Effectivity
This Illustrated Parts Catalogue covers all the serial numbers of the GA8 Airvan.
The amendment status of this manual will be identified by the list of applicable amendments and
each page will be identified with its issue number and date of issue.
To ensure that the correct parts are ordered the revisions to this catalogue must be incorporated
as they are issued.
Numbering System
This catalogue has been prepared using the ATA 100 format as a guide. This provides an industry
standard layout and subsequently an easy identification of chapters. Some ATA 100 requirements
have not been complied with. In particular, the page numbering system differs from the ATA 100
format. In this catalogue the pages are numbered consecutively for a complete chapter rather than
the chapter/section/subject called for. Only applicable ATA 100 chapters and paragraphs are
included, hence the apparent gaps in chapter and paragraph numbers.
This catalogue contains many vendor items fitted to the aircraft. Gippsland Aeronautics can not be
held responsible for changes made to these parts and does not accept responsibility for quality
control and/or airworthiness of parts which have not passed through GA’s quality control system.
Gippsland Aeronautics will endeavour to update this catalogue with any changes to vendor items.
The index number is used to identify each part on the drawing. Where handed items are listed the
part number for the other handed part - not shown - is listed under the same dash number as the
shown part.
Description
The units per assembly column lists the quantity of parts used per item. The quantity listed for
attaching parts denotes the quantity required to attach only one item. Where multiple items are
attached the quantity of attaching hardware required may be obtained by multiplying the number of
items to attach by the quantity of hardware required to attach one item.
Applicability column
Where parts are limited to particular serial number or model ranges this is indicated directly.
