Topic: Stress in college
Nowadays, stress is a common problem for everyone in life. Same as issues in college and
university, stress is a major problem for students too. This issue can bring bad results for
students' performance in college. Fortunately, these problems can be overcome with two
ways: Improve physical health and stay organized.
Health is the most major role that helps our body and mind to work well. Never sleep over
your bedtime and sleep enough would help students improve their health. It does help
students relax after many hours of work or coming to class. Moreover, the quality of sleep is
significant as is nutrition and exercise. Good sleep will sharpen brain function, boost the
immune system and can even help weight control. Furthermore, eating well is also important
for our health. A good meal would ensure our body gets a variety of nutrition that allows the
body to function normally. In addition, regular exercise is one of the most effective ways to
improve our physical well being. It can help our mind and body be active and maintain a
healthy weight which is like health boosting multiple vitamins for our body.
The second key method is to keep organized work and reduce stress. It may seem
overwhelming to keep track of everything with a schedule crammed full of classes,
assignments, and social activities. But, not having organizational skills will only add more
stress and pressure to our plate. Unorganized students typically have less academic success
than organized students. Students should learn how to manage time during their schedule
such as taking a break to relax and refresh, creating a space and proper schedule. For
example, calendars and planners are valuable organizational tools. Try to keep our living
environment and workspace tidy and organized as well to reduce distraction and anxiety.
In conclusion, stress can be the worst challenge for students to overcome. However, those
methods above are extremely helpful for students having a rough time to deal with it. By
taking these steps to reduce stress, students will get over this issue and become better through
the course. Remember to stay focused, stay on track, and ask for friends' help if we need it.
