DEVELOPMENT
Activity 1: introducing ourselves (10 minutes)

 Model introducing oneself


 Guide learners to practise making introductions
 Let learners practise making introductions in pairs
 Go round the class, observe and support learners while they practise

Activity 2: Reading words ending with –aw (10 minutes)


 Model sounding out words ending with –aw
 Guide learners sounding out words ending with –aw ([Link], groups and whole
class)
 Ask learners to sound out words end with –aw ( [Link], groups and whole
class)
 Go round the class, observe and support learners while they practise

Activity 3: Making words ending with –aw (10 minutes)

 Model making words ending with –aw


 Guide learners to make words ending with –aw from learners’ books at page 2
 Ask learners to make words ending with-aw for example, saw,claw,paw,flaw,straw on their own.
 Ask learners to read their words to their partner or group
 Go round the class, observe and support learners while they practise

Conclusion: ask a few learners to read their words to the whole class. (3 minutes)
