1. Design of a Flat Slab with Drop Panel (G1)
Objective: Design an RCC flat slab with a drop panel for an office building.
Given Data:
Column grid: 8m × 8m
Live load: 3 kN/m², Superimposed Dead Load: 2 kN/m²
Concrete: M35, Steel: Fe500
Column size: 600mm × 600mm
Edge and interior conditions as per IS 456
Tasks:
Calculate load distribution and moment coefficients.
Determine slab thickness and reinforcement detailing.
Check punching shear at column locations.
2. Design of a Water Retaining RCC Circular Tank (G2)
Objective: Design a circular RCC tank of 500m³ capacity resting on ground.
Given Data:
Tank diameter: 10m
Water depth: 6m
Freeboard: 0.5m
Concrete: M30, Steel: Fe415
Crack width control required as per IS 3370
Tasks:
Design base slab and wall thickness.
Check hoop tension and provide reinforcement accordingly.
Perform a crack width check.
3. Design of a Cantilever Retaining Wall (G3)
Objective: Design a 5m high RCC cantilever retaining wall to retain granular soil.
Given Data:
Soil unit weight: 18 kN/m³
Angle of internal friction: 30°
Safe bearing capacity of soil: 200 kN/m²
Concrete: M30, Steel: Fe500
Tasks:
Determine lateral earth pressure using Rankine’s theory.
Design the stem, base slab, and toe.
Perform stability checks for overturning, sliding, and bearing pressure.
4. Design of a Deep Beam for a High-Rise Structure (G4)
Objective: Design a deep beam spanning 6m in a high-rise structure.

Tasks:
Design shear reinforcement using Strut-and-Tie Model.
5. Design of a Combined Footing for Unequal Column Loads (G1)
Objective: Design a combined footing for two columns of different loads and spacing.

Column 1 Load: 600 kN, Column 2 Load: 900 kN
Column spacing: 3.5m
Soil SBC: 250 kN/m²
Tasks:
Determine footing dimensions and reinforcement.

6. Design of a RCC Dome for a Water Tank (G2)

Tasks:
