1) Why USA?
I chose the U.S.A. because of its worldwide reputation for academic
excellence, especially in the accounting field. What I liked most about
Universities in the U.S. is that they prioritize practical & research-
based education over theoretical education with a rich multicultural
environment which can help me build a global network, understand
different perspectives, and gain skills in adapting to diverse settings.
2) Why Computer Engineering?
Two years ago, when I went to fill out my motorcycle license form and
provide my biometrics, I had to wait in line for more than three hours due to
repetitive paperwork, inefficiencies due to manual processes, and outdated
system. This issue is not limited only to the licensing department in Nepal
but to almost every government operation. So, I decided to study computer
engineering to help solve these problems as Computer engineering is a
combination of hardware and software skills to design and improve tech
systems, ( by creating centralized database and digitalizing the manual processes safely) driving innovation in fields
like Artificial Intelligence. It's in high demand in developing country like
Nepal and it enables us to solve complex problems and make our life easier.
3)[2)] Why this university?
UNT provided me with a specialized course in Computer Engineering
that aligns perfectly with my career goal. Learning AI is very important
for my career goal and this university's computer engineering course
has AI as a subject in 3rd year but in other university's computer
engineering course AI is not taught and If we want to study AI, we have
to major in computer science and specialize in AI. Additionally, I was
impressed by the Center for Agile and Adaptive Additive Manufacturing
system which is well-known for its 3D printing in computer engineering
to develop new products which will help me get hands-on experience
and deepen my understanding of the field.
4)[3)] Who are your Sponsors?
My parents are my sponsors. My father owns a motorcycle showroom
and earns approximately $28k per year. My mother runs a beauty
parlor and earns $10k per year. Additionally, my parents get $12k per
year through rent from our old house. Besides this, they have savings
of $48,500 for the purpose of my education and a property evaluation
of $250,000 in case of emergency.

I applied to three universities.
University of North Texas, Washington University of Science &
Technology and Avilla University.
6)[5)] Any EPT?
Yes officer, I gave IELTS exam and got overall band 7. I got 8 on
Listening, 7 on Reading and Speaking & 6.5 on writing.

My university is located in Denton, Texas. 30-minute ride from Dallas
fort worth international airport.
8)[7)] What will you do after completion of your studies?
After my graduation, I will return back to Nepal and join big tech
companies like Deer Walk, Yuwasoft Technologies and Leapfrog and
get some experience. After that, I plan to open a tech-based company
here in Nepal that will focus on modernizing government systems. I
aim to streamline(flow) processes, reduce inefficiencies, and introduce
digital solutions to the needs of various government departments. For
example, creating user-friendly portals for services like record
management, tax filing, and licensing.
9)[8)] Do you have any relatives in the USA?
No, I don’t have any relatives in the USA.
10)[9)] What was your favorite subject in high school? What did you
learn?
My favorite subject in high school was mathematics, particularly Calculus
where I learned a lot of things about derivatives and integration. I enjoyed
solving complex problems and understanding how mathematical concepts
could be applied to real-world scenarios. Learning derivatives helped me
understand rates of change, which has practical applications in physics
and engineering . Integration, on the other hand, taught me how to
calculate areas under curves and solve accumulation problems, which are
essential in many scientific and engineering fields.
11)[10)] Why not Nepal?
In Nepal, colleges and universities mostly focus on theoretical knowledge.
They often give more importance to students who can memorize answers
rather than those who want to understand and apply the knowledge
practically due to which we cannot apply our education to solve real-world
problems. On the other hand, education in the USA focuses more on
practical learning and research, helping students apply what they learn.
This is why I chose to study in the USA.
12)[11)] What would you do next if you were not granted a visa
today?
If I get rejected today, I will respect this decision and I will review all my
documents once again and I will reapply.
13)[12)] Why should I grant you your visa?
As you can see officer, I am a genuine student, and I have chosen a
university that matches my profile. I believe that I have enough
financial funding and I do not have any intent to stay there as My
future plans align with the unique context and opportunities available
in Nepal. I have strong ties with my family, and I intend to return as
soon as my program is over.

Texas is an affordable and welcoming state for international students,
known for its prestigious academic institutions like University of North
Texas. This state has a very well managed transportation system. 10% of
international students studying in USA study in Texas. It is the second
largest state of USA. Texas experiences hot summers and mild winters.

Yes officer, I gave SAT and got 1310. 750 in maths and 560 in English.

If I get accepted today, I will focus on preparing for my transition to the
United States. This includes finalizing necessary documentation,
arranging travel plans, and ensuring I have everything ready to start my
studies smoothly. My goal will be to make the most of this opportunity
and fully dedicate myself to my academic and career goals.

Yes, I plan to return to my home country during vacations. Staying
connected with my family is important to me, and returning home allows
me to spend quality time with them.
