Writing Comprehension

Assessment Checklist

Use this checklist to assess what you think you can do (Column 1- Yes), (Column 2- Sometimes,
not always), (Column 3- No).

If you have ticked more than 80% of the statements in Column 1 with or, you have probably
achieved this level. If you have ticked more than 50% of the statements in Column 2, you may
probably reinforce your skills at this level. If you have ticked more than 70% of the statements in
Column 3, you may get receptive feedback so you can improve your skills during your process of
learning at this level.

Use the evaluation table at the end of the checklist to evaluate your results. Fill in the table with
the number of ticks for each item and then add up the subtotals to get the total. The number of
points in bold is the recommended score for this level.
