• Install the D584 SPDI in the M59, Slot 3; for this, use the mounting materials from the
service accessory pack.
• If a laser camera is to be connected using the 25 m or 60 m data cable, make sure that
the connector with the designation HCC is connected to the camera interface for the
laser camera. When this is done, the cable shielding is connected over Pin 1 of the HCC
connector in the camera to Gnd potential.
• Pin 1 of the camera cable on the FL-C side is not connected to the shielding. The cam-
era interface in the FL-C plugs into the M59/slot 3. Connect the data cable to X4.
• If necessary, install the HCC footswitch adapter cable.
• The HCC footswitch cable from the laser camera manufacturer is adapted to the HCC
FTS 3 connector. Snap-in connector at M59.X3 (D584).

Network 0

A twisted pair cable to connect the FL-C to a network environment is provided in the FL-C
accessory pack.
• If the DICOM option was ordered, connect the power cable to M59.X5 and secure it with
cable ties.

Protective Measures 7.1

Fig. 74:
• Observe the safety information described in Register 2 of the System Binder.
• Prior to performing any activity in the generator, switch it off at the powerr OFF switch
(1/Fig. 74 / p. 59) on the D160 (up switch position).
• To switch power off to all parts of the system (generator and connected components),
set the system switch to the OFF position.

CAUTION Oil can leak out during transport.

¹ For this reason, the H1 high voltage transformer must be
kept in a horizontal position during transport. If the high
voltage transformer was not kept horizontal during trans-
port, the tilt indicator will respond if 20° out of the hori-
zontal position has been exceeded. The indicator is
located on the side of the transformer packaging. If the
tilt indicator has responded, additional information can
be obtained from the CS HSC Hotline: -09191-18-8080.

General Remarks 7.2

Labeling of the Wiring Harnesses 0

• The wiring harnesses included in the shipment are labeled at the ends of the zipper
hoses as follows, e.g.:

Fig. 75:
• Lay the cable harnesses according to the fix point designations and guide them into the
relevant cabinet from below, behind, on the left or right. When doing this, the zipper
hose must project approx. 10 cm into the cabinet.
• The cables are labeled and provided with connection elements.
• Meaning of the cable labels:

Fig. 76:

NOTE Lay the high-voltage cables separately.

When laying the fiber optic cables, do not kink and do not pinch
them; the connectors are particularly sensitive to pulling and to
kinks.
Fiber optic bending radius must be more than 50 mm.
Lay the cables so that the components can be swung out.

• Guide the power cables into the cabinets from below.

POLYDOROS LX 50 61

• To the extent possible, secure the plug-in connectors with screws.

• Strain relieve the cables, apply the shielding.
• The video cables are identified with IN and OUT, while the connections of the video
components such as monitors, etc., are provided with symbols.
• Laying excess cable lengths should not be in rings (coils), but in a snake-like fashion .
