ABSTRACT
Population growth industrial development and uncontrolled and rapid deforestation. It has a
major impact on land use and land cover (LULC) in many regions. including developing
countries Understanding and analysing LULC dynamics is important for effective
environmental management and resource management. This study focuses on Visakhapatnam
district, Andhra Pradesh, where classification was examined using satellite images. Machine
learning models were used to determine the best classifier to detect LULC changes with
Support Vector Machine (SVM) provides accurate results. We also analyse heat flux and
greenhouse gas emissions using regression analysis and interaction modelling. Therefore, it
provides a more comprehensive understanding of the environmental impacts of LULC changes.
Analysis of land use changes helps show the impact of human activities on resources and
climate in local These changes are dynamic and highly flexible. This work demonstrates the
importance of data to support environmental strategies and decision-making to improve cities
and surrounding regions.
