Step 1: Understand the marketplace and customer needs.
Step 2: Develop a customer-driven marketing strategy.

The 4 P's: Product, Price, Place, Promotion
Step 4: Build customer relationships.
Step 5: Capture value from customers to create profits and equity.
3. Market Research
Primary Research: Gathering new data through surveys, interviews, focus groups,
etc.
Secondary Research: Analyzing data already available, such as industry reports and
government statistics.
Quantitative vs. Qualitative Data:
Quantitative: Numerical data (e.g., surveys with measurable results)
Qualitative: Descriptive data (e.g., interviews, open-ended questions)
4. Segmentation, Targeting, and Positioning (STP)
Segmentation: Dividing a market into distinct groups based on characteristics like
demographics, psychographics, behavior, etc.
Targeting: Selecting which segments to serve based on attractiveness and company
fit.
Positioning: Designing the product’s image and identity in the minds of the target
audience.
Types of Segmentation:
