GROUP WORK REPORT
I. Project Assignment
The teacher gave us the task of creating a video about a subject we covered in
English II. To be more exact, in 4 minutes, we must build a dialogue for every
participant and use the storyline, environment and imagine demonstrating our
points. We shall thus record our conversation and give the instructor a copy of
it.
II. The reasons of creating Group 9
o We are close friends so we decided to form a group in the hope of
getting best results in this project.
o We can coordinate well with each other, avoid possible
disagreements.
o We feel comfortable when we work together.
III. Outcome
o We completed this project in a short time and did not encounter any
major obstacles in the process of implementing it. Through the process
of working together on the project, the members can improve their
personal skills as well as make our relationship more understand and
closer.
o We selected the video location, video time and setting together for
several days before video on October 15th. The video process went
smoothly, the members contributed a lot of creative ideas to make the
group’s work more interesting.
IV. Efficiency
o The team works with high efficiency and good solidarity. All members
work seriously and help each other progress in their studies.
o Members always meet on time and contribute positive opinions to
have the best project.
V. Achievements
o The members can improve their listening and speaking skills
through this project.
o The members can show their strengths and become more confident
in communicating in English.
o The members can express their creativity their creating scripts and
learn new vocabulary.
o The cohesion of the members is enhanced through this project.

Meeting content: Choose the team leader, choose the topic and outline the
project
Firstly, the group members introduce themselves and get to know each other.
1. Electing team leader:
- First, we asked if anyone wanted to be the leader.
- After a while of discussion, everyone agreed to let Nguyen Thi Hien be
the group leader.
2. Choosing the topic:
Tran Thi Ngoc Han gave an idea to choose the topic: Vehicle of travel.
Nguyen Thi Hien gave an idea to choose the topic: Skincare.
Vu Thi Kim Anh gave an idea to choose the topic: Winter tourist
destinations.
Pham Thi Ngoc Anh gave an idea to choose the topic: Stay Healthy.
After a while of discussion, everyone in the team chose the topic “Winter tourist
destinations”. This is quite an interesting topic and most people look forward to
a trip together in the winter, this cannot be ignored.
Outline the main contents of the topic:
Winter is the right time to go to Sapa to see snow and visit the top of
Fansipan mountain.
It is also a good idea to go to Hoi An ancient town to immerse yourself in
the old days but still have a bold modernity.
Camping in Ba Vi is also not a bad idea.
Instead of just going out in the country, let’s try going to Paris to see the
Eiffel Tower, which is known as a romantic city.
If we want to save money, we can go to countries near us, for example,
the night market in Korea is famous for its street food.
Why don’t we try going to a place in the Central region? Da Lat is an
ideal place for us to have fun in winter with adventurous games.
Organizing parties and playing games at home can be the fastest and most
economical.

Meeting content:
1. Check and support each other to complete the content:
Ngoc Anh helps Kim Anh find famous things where Kim Anh wants to
go.
Hien offers good vocabulary for Ngoc Han to consider and edit her
content.
Han said that she will help people correct spelling mistakes.
2. Member of group came up with the idea for the script:
Han suggested that everyone would sit in the classroom to have a small
conversation everyday.
Ngoc Anh thought that was a good idea, but in class there was no private
space for the team, so Ngoc Anh suggested that we should create a script
where the whole team sat together in the café to discuss.
Hien and Kim Anh both agreed with Ngoc Anh’s opinion.
Finally, the team approve of Ngoc Anh’s opinion.

Meeting content: Complete the script and practice speaking together
1. Complete the script:
At the beginning of the meeting, each member will give comments to
correct redundant or missing points in the script.
Hien commented that the script was a bit short and needed to add a few
more details.
Han thinks that such a script has enough meaning and enough time to be
said.
Ngoc Anh expressed the opinion that everyone’s speaking parts were not
equal, Ngoc Anh and Hien spoke too much while Han and Kim Anh parts
were too little.
Kim Anh has compiled everyone’s opinions to edit the script.
Once the team has an ideal for the speech, everyone in the team works
together to correct grammar and vocabulary to complete script.
2. Practice speaking together:
Then everyone practices speaking together to correct each other’s. Everyone
demonstrated their speaking ability, but it was not fluent and more like
reading and speaking. After about 50 minutes of practicing speaking
together, the whole team made better progress.
3. Script:
Hien: We haven’t gone out together for a long time, right? After the exam,
let’s hang out to relieve stress.
Ngoc Anh: This is a good idea. After the exam, I was quite free. Does
anyone have any plans?
Han: As far as I know, this year’s winter is not very cold. I think we should
go camping in Ba Vi. There is nothing more ideal than coming to Ba Vi in
the cold winter. It is a place that combines wonderful mountains, beautiful
forests, and fresh air, extremely ideal for us to have fun together. Morever,
Ba Vi is also a photo spot for young people with filled wild sunflowers.
Kim Anh: That sounds good. I also want to experience the feeling of
watching snow falling in [Link] I love the beauty of snowflakes. If
you have come to Sapa, it is impossible not to visit the top of Fansipan – a
famous place in Sapa. Looking down from above, you will not help but
admire this peaceful land.
Hien: I feel excited. However, in my opinion, we should go to Da Lat. Dalat
is a perfect destination if you want to have a peaceful vacation. Dalat is
called "a flower city". If you are interested in sightseeing, you can visit the
valley of love, for example, Mong Mo hill, Than Tho lake. At night, you can
go to drink coffee in the city center.
Ngoc Anh: I think so, too. I find going to Da Lat is also interesting. Besides,
Ho Chi Minh City is not a bad idea. The weather will be quite pleasant
because it is a city without winter. The food here is very delicious and
diverse. We can eat, visit and entertain at large amusement parks.
Han: It’s difficult because we all have our own choices.
Kim Anh: I have never travelled abroad with friends before. What is your
point of view about travelling abroad?
Hien: That sounds great. What do you think of Paris? Paris is regarded as the
most romantic city in the world. This city is the capital and also the most
famous city of France. Paris is a centre of famous fashion brands in the
world such as Coco Chanel, Dior... and it is famous for its delicious
restaurants. This place has attractive beauty with the Eiffel tower and has
become the most desirable place for couples around the world.
Ngoc Anh: I am not sure about that. What about London? I prefer London
because it's safer and less crowded than Paris. We can participate in the
SOUTHBANK winter festival. Especially, restaurants open along the bank
of the River Thames, filling the air with the irresistible aromas of food. In
addition, we can also buy traditional souvenirs from craft stalls.
Han: I’m sorry, but I disagree. Going abroad is quite far and expensive, we
don’t have enough money to go. Besides, our English is not good enough to
communicate. In short, I feel that travelling abroad is not feasible.
Kim Anh: Oh, why didn’t I think of that? Travel expenses deserve our
attention because we are still college students. Actually, domestic tourist
destinations are wonderful as well.
Hien: So, I think Ba Vi is the best choice. Is that right? We can go by
motorbike because it is near Ha Noi.
Ngoc Anh: Exactly. We can also prepare our own food to take with us.
Therefore, the cost of the trip will also be much reduced.
Han: Moreover, Ba Vi has many comfortable play spaces to relieve pressure
after a tiring period.
Kim Anh: We’ll come together at the school gate at 8:00 am on December
24. Try not to be late. Ok?
Hien: We have a great excitement.
Ngoc Anh: Sure, let's go to Ba Vi City. I believe it will be a memorable
vacation for us.
