1. Please tell me about your best friends.

I consider myself lucky to have a small group of close friends who are more like family to me.
Each one brings something unique to our circle. For instance, my best friend Alex is incredibly
supportive and has a great sense of humor, always making me laugh even in tough situations.
Then there’s Maria, who is the most empathetic person I know—she’s always ready to listen
and give thoughtful advice. We’ve been through a lot together, from school days to personal
challenges, and I truly value the trust and mutual respect that define our friendship.

2. What do you like to do during Christmas holidays?

Christmas is one of my favorite times of the year because it’s all about spending quality time
with loved ones. I enjoy decorating the house with twinkling lights and festive ornaments,
which instantly create a cozy atmosphere. I also love baking traditional Christmas treats, like
cookies and cakes, which always fill the house with a delicious aroma. Another highlight is
watching classic holiday movies with my family—we have a tradition of watching Home Alone
every year. And of course, I cherish the moments of exchanging thoughtful gifts and sharing
heartfelt conversations around the dinner table.

3. Tell me about what you did last weekend.

Last weekend was quite productive yet relaxing. On Saturday, I spent the morning decluttering
my workspace and organizing some long-overdue tasks, which felt incredibly satisfying. In the
afternoon, I met up with a few friends for a late lunch at a charming café in the city center,
followed by a stroll through a nearby park. On Sunday, I dedicated time to some personal
hobbies—reading a fascinating novel and experimenting with a new recipe for dinner. The
evening ended with a peaceful moment of reflection and journaling, which helped me recharge
for the week ahead.

4. Tell me about your family.

My family is a tight-knit group of five: my parents, my two siblings, and me. My parents have
always been incredibly supportive and hardworking, setting a great example for us. My older
sister is a creative soul, always full of ideas and inspiration, while my younger brother has a
knack for technology and is the go-to person for fixing anything. We share a lot of laughs during
family gatherings, and I especially appreciate how we all come together for meals, which is a
cherished tradition in our home.

5. What do you like to do on your birthday?

I like to keep my birthday simple yet meaningful. It usually starts with a quiet morning,
reflecting on the past year and setting intentions for the new one. Later, I enjoy celebrating with
family and close friends, often with a homemade dinner or a meal at a cozy restaurant. I love
receiving and giving heartfelt messages on this day—it’s a reminder of the connections that
truly matter. If I have the chance, I also treat myself to something special, like a new book or a
small trip, to make the day extra memorable.
6. Please tell me about your hometown or city.
My hometown is a charming place with a rich history and a warm community atmosphere. It’s
not too big, so it feels personal and welcoming, but it’s also vibrant enough to offer plenty of
things to do. One of its highlights is a beautiful park where locals gather to relax and socialize,
especially on sunny days. The town is also known for its traditional festivals, which are full of
music, food, and colorful decorations. I love that it’s a place where old traditions blend with
modern living, making it truly unique.

7. What do you like to do to relax?

To relax, I usually turn to activities that help me unwind and recharge. Reading is one of my
favorite pastimes, especially when it’s a captivating novel or an inspiring self-help book. I also
enjoy taking long walks in nature or through a peaceful neighborhood—it helps me clear my
mind. Listening to music or watching a comforting TV series is another go-to. When I feel more
active, I like practicing yoga or meditation to center myself. These moments of calm are
essential for maintaining balance in my busy life.

8. Tell me about someone who is important to you.

My grandmother is one of the most important people in my life. She has always been a source
of wisdom and kindness, with a gentle way of guiding me through life’s challenges. Her life
story is incredibly inspiring—she overcame many difficulties with strength and grace. What I
admire most is her ability to find joy in the small things, whether it’s tending to her garden or
sharing stories from her past. Her warmth and unwavering support have shaped me into the
person I am today.

9. How do you like to celebrate special occasions?

I prefer celebrating special occasions in meaningful and intimate ways. Whether it’s a birthday,
anniversary, or holiday, I love gathering with family and close friends. Sharing a delicious meal
together is often the centerpiece, and I enjoy preparing dishes that reflect the occasion. I also try
to make the celebration unique—like planning a small trip, creating personalized gifts, or
organizing an activity everyone enjoys, such as playing games or watching a favorite movie.
What matters most to me is the sense of connection and joy these moments bring.

10. How often do you meet up with friends?

I try to meet up with friends as often as possible, but it usually depends on our schedules. On
average, we get together at least once or twice a month for a meal, a movie night, or just to
catch up over coffee. However, I stay in touch more frequently through messages and calls.
Whenever we can’t meet in person, we make it a point to plan something special, like a
weekend outing or a group activity, to make up for lost time.
11. Would you ever live abroad?
Yes, I would definitely consider living abroad. I think it would be an incredible opportunity to
immerse myself in a new culture, learn a language, and experience a different way of life. It’s
also a chance for personal growth and stepping out of my comfort zone. Of course, I’d miss my
family and friends, but with today’s technology, staying connected would be easier. Places with
rich history, like Italy or Japan, really appeal to me because I enjoy exploring traditions and
local customs.

12. Tell me about a place you like to go often.

One place I love visiting often is a small café near my home. It has a cozy atmosphere, with soft
lighting, comfortable seating, and the aroma of freshly brewed coffee filling the air. It’s my go-
to spot for reading, working on personal projects, or catching up with friends. The staff are
friendly, and they make the best pastries, which is always a bonus. I find it incredibly relaxing
and inspiring—it’s a little sanctuary where I can escape the busyness of daily life.

13. Do you enjoy reading?

Absolutely, reading is one of my favorite activities. I love how it allows me to explore different
worlds, perspectives, and ideas. Whether it’s fiction, non-fiction, or poetry, there’s always
something to learn or reflect on. I enjoy a wide range of genres—thrillers, historical novels, and
self-development books are among my top choices. Reading not only entertains me but also
helps me unwind and expand my knowledge. It’s a habit I try to nurture every day, even if it’s
just for a few minutes.

14. How important is social media to you?

Social media plays a role in my life, but I try to use it mindfully. It’s a great tool for staying
connected with friends and family, especially those who live far away. I also appreciate the
access to news, ideas, and creativity it provides. However, I’m aware of its downsides, like the
potential for distraction or negativity, so I set boundaries to avoid overusing it. For me, it’s
important to strike a balance between being online and enjoying real-world interactions and
experiences.

15. Tell me something about your school/work.

I’m currently working on a meaningful and creative project with my students. We’re
collaborating with a group of older adults in our community to create a book of micro-stories
inspired by music and songs. It’s a unique initiative that combines storytelling, intergenerational
learning, and cultural appreciation. I enjoy how it fosters collaboration and creativity while
allowing everyone to share their experiences and perspectives. Being part of such projects is one
of the most rewarding aspects of my job.
16. Which are your favourite free time activities?
In my free time, I enjoy a mix of relaxing and creative activities. Reading is a big favorite—I
love diving into a good novel or exploring thought-provoking articles. I also enjoy writing,
whether it’s journaling or working on small creative projects. Spending time outdoors is another
passion; I like taking long walks, hiking, or simply enjoying a peaceful moment in a park. When
I’m in the mood for something social, I like catching up with friends over coffee or exploring
cultural events, like exhibitions or concerts.

17. What are your plans for the holidays?

For the holidays, I plan to spend quality time with my family and friends. I’m looking forward
to decorating the house, baking traditional treats, and enjoying festive meals together. I also
hope to take a short trip to visit a nearby town or countryside to relax and explore something
new. Of course, I’ll dedicate some time to rest, catch up on reading, and reflect on the past year.
It’s the perfect time to recharge and prepare for new beginnings.

18. Tell me about your eating habits.

I try to maintain a balanced and healthy diet, focusing on fresh and nutritious ingredients. My
meals usually include a good mix of vegetables, proteins, and whole grains. I enjoy cooking at
home because it allows me to experiment with different recipes and control what goes into my
food. That said, I do indulge occasionally—especially when it comes to desserts or trying out
new dishes at restaurants. Hydration is also important, so I make an effort to drink plenty of
water throughout the day.

Integrarlo en frases como “I unwind by
pursuing hobbies that enrich my personal growth” o “Social media allows me to maintain

improvisación y dar respuestas claras, sofisticadas y bien estructuradas:

1. Domina las estrategias de improvisación

Point (Punto principal): Expresa tu opinión o idea principal.
Por ejemplo: Pregunta: "What do you like to do in your free time?"
Respuesta con PREP:
"I love reading because it allows me to immerse myself in different perspectives. For instance,
last week I read a novel by George Orwell that explored political themes and broadened my
worldview. It’s a hobby that keeps me intellectually stimulated and relaxed at the same time."

Introducing an idea:
"Firstly, I’d like to mention…"
"To begin with, it’s important to note that…"
"One of the main reasons is that…"
Adding ideas:
"Moreover, this allows for…"
"In addition, it is worth noting…"
"What’s more, this creates opportunities to…"
Contrasting ideas:
"On the other hand, some might argue that…"
"However, I believe that…"
"While it is true that…, it’s also worth considering…"
Summarizing:
"To sum up, I think that…"
"In conclusion, it’s evident that…"
Why this works: It helps you sound more confident and articulate when thinking on your feet.

3. Amplía tu vocabulario con campos semánticos claros

Estudia temas clave como relaciones, tiempo libre, tecnología, hábitos, planes futuros, trabajo,
cultura, etc.

Time: timeless, fleeting, momentary, perpetual, schedule, routine.
Technology: digital footprint, screen time, virtual environment, social media platforms, online
presence.
Friendships: companion, confidant, bond, empathy, mutual trust, long-lasting relationships.
Leisure: unwind, recreation, cultural enrichment, hobbies, mindfulness, relaxation.

Ejemplo:
En lugar de decir:
"I love cooking."
Puedes decir:
"I really enjoy experimenting with new recipes and preparing meals for my family and friends."

fluidez y claridad.
Ejemplo de simulación:

Pregunta al azar: "How would you spend a perfect Sunday?"

Respuesta improvisada:
"A perfect Sunday for me would involve a balance between relaxation and activity. I’d start the
day with a cup of coffee and reading a book, then spend the afternoon outdoors, perhaps hiking
or enjoying a picnic with friends. In the evening, I’d unwind by preparing a favorite dish and
watching a classic film."

Ejemplo:
"I view learning a new language as like learning to play a musical instrument—it requires
patience, consistent practice, and creativity."

Mira series, documentales y entrevistas.

Ejemplo:
Pregunta: "What are your thoughts on social media?"
Respuesta resumida:
"Social media is a double-edged sword. While it fosters connectivity and access to information,
it can lead to information overload and reduced face-to-face interactions. Nonetheless, with
mindful use, it provides numerous opportunities for engagement and learning."

MUST: Deber (obligación o prohibición)
HAVE TO / DON’T HAVE TO: Tener que (obligación por un factor externo -como el médico-)
SHOULD (shouldn’t) / OUGH TO (ought not to) (significan lo mismo: un consejo; deberías)
HAD BETTER (had better not): I’d better go home now: Será mejor que vaya a casa ahora.
NEED TO (don’t need to / needn’t)
