- Total Marks: 200


- Duration: 90 Minutes
- Number of Questions: 40 (All are MCQs)
- Marking Scheme: +5 for each correct answer, -1 for each incorrect answer
- Sections: Section A (Compulsory), Section B (Choose any one: B1 or B2)

Section A: Compulsory (20 Questions, 100 Marks)

1. If A = [[2, 3], [1, 4]], find determinant of A.


2. Solve for x: x^2 - 5x + 6 = 0.
3. Evaluate integral of (3x^2 - 4x + 1) dx.
4. Find the derivative of f(x) = x^3 - 5x^2 + 6x - 2.
5. A die is rolled once. What is the probability of getting an even number?
6. Maximize Z = 3x + 4y subject to x + y <= 5 and x, y >= 0.
7. Solve dy/dx = 3y.
8. Compute limit as x approaches 2 of (x^2 - 4)/(x - 2).
9. Find the area under the curve y = x^2 from x = 0 to x = 2.
10. A bag contains 3 red and 2 blue balls. If two balls are drawn randomly, what is the probability
both are red?

Section B: Choose Either B1 or B2 (20 Questions, 100 Marks)

21. Find the general solution of d^2y/dx^2 - 4 dy/dx + 4y = 0.


22. If f(x) = x^2 and g(x) = sqrt(x), find (f composed with g)(x).
23. Solve for k such that the system x + 2y = 3, 2x + ky = 6 has no solution.

27. Evaluate summation of n^2 from n=1 to 10.
