Background

Most if not all learners do not want to take farming as a business when they grow up.

They also do not appreciate the employment opportunities created through farming.

Objectives

Learners should be able to;

-prepare a budget for any agricultural project.

-appreciate the profits that can be realised in agricultural projects.

PART A

1) Identify and list the 7 branches of Agriculture. (7 marks)

2)Describe each of the above listed branches in short (7marks)

PART B

Imagine you have been provided with housing and equipment to use for keeping 50 broilers.
1)prepare a simple budget for a poutry project of 50 broilers from day old to 6 weeks .

(Clearly show the expenditure and expected income (12marks)

2)Calculate the profits (4marks).
