JESUS NOW IS OUR TITHE 1

Important.

Since the fall of man, God's character has been slaughtered, soiled, and desecrated.

Tithing is one area in which a serious error has taken root in the hearts of many people. Week
after week, Christian congregations are exhorted, harassed, cajoled, blackmailed, threatened,
excommunicated, and manipulated into paying tithing.

This has left the human heart doubting God's integrity.

In this series, we will discover:

What is tithe?

Who was given the commandment of tithing and why?

How tithe was administered.

There is no commandment of tithing for believers in the New Testament.

Reasons why a believer must not pay tithe.

Jesus is the reality of the tithe.

Over the years, I have heard these words ricocheting behind the pulpit like a foghorn:‘The Lord
tells us to bring our tithe to the storehouse’‘If you don’t tithe you will not go to heaven’‘If you
don’t tithe God is not going to bless you’‘The reason you are poor is because you are not
tithing’‘Even if you choose to tithe not, God will collect it anyway through other means either
sickness, death or accident.’ So better you pay!‘If you are not tithing you are a robber who is
robbing God’l believe these words are not strange to you.

Discussing tithe in the Christian world triggers heated arguments. There are two major schools
of thought namely:Tithing is for today, though it’s under the law, it precedes the law, Abraham
lived before the law, and he paid tithe to Melchizedek. And tithing is not a practice of the New
Testament as it is an Old Testament practice.

The New Testament teaches liberal giving. Giving as you are led by the Spirit.

l am going to stay away from any school of thought. I will discuss tithe scripturally to enhance
understanding of the phenomena.

What most people believe about this subject is the opposite of what is written in the scriptures.

One of the reasons is because most people don't bother to take the time and look into the
subject for themselves; they don't want to study the bible to understand what tithe was for, how
it was used, and the laws associated with it.

Another reason is that some people are benefitting from this, so they don't want to let go of the
benefit which is at their disposal.
Since they know that people are not afraid of their names, they threaten a punishment by using
the name of God.

Those who have revealed knowledge of God can agree that God’s image has been painted
black over the years.

God is believed by many to send bad things on people to teach them good character.

God is believed to specialize in killing people when he is angry and blesses when he is happy.

This kind of God is 100% contrary to the true nature of God revealed to us in Christ.

Search the Bible, and you will find that Christ never at any time killed anyone, giving sickness to
anyone, threatened a curse from God to anyone, neither did he collected tithe from anyone.

He said, what l do l see my father do. Please look at this:(Joh 5:19) Then answered Jesus and
said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, The Son can do nothing of himself, but what he
seeth the Father do: for what things soever he doeth, these also doeth the Son likewise.

Jesus was doing the works of [Link] many people today attribute evil to [Link]
Jesus Himself was God in the human body, never at any time attributed evil to God.

Never at any time said God is a [Link] is the truth to lay hold on:(1Jn 1:5) This then is the
message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no
darkness at all.

Any activity which involves killing, stealing, destroying is evil and evil is darkness.

But God is light and in Him there is no darkness at all.

The tithe proponents attribute evil to God. How?By threatening a curse from God to those who
don’t pay tithe.

The sad part is poor people who have been severely incapacitated by the waves of economic
hardships are not spared from this bandwagon as the merciless tithe collectors hide behind the
name of God with the sole intent of collecting tithe to make their feathers shine whilst leaving
feathers of innocent souls in a dilapidated state.

The money they say God is in dire need [Link] give an impression that God is after your
money, and if you give Him a tenth of your salary, He will bless you in return, and He will
intervene in your life. Furthermore, He will give you an abundance more, in some measurable
way.

But if you don’t give him the tithe, it means you have transgressed and disobeyed.

The consequence is that a just recompense of reward in the form of pain, suffering, and
destruction will be dancing upon your head.

And this god will make sure that you know that he is punishing you because you fail to give out
a tenth of your income.

Purely this tarnishes the image of God. God, whose character from eternity past has been
characterized by endless love, mercy, and grace.

Surely, for all those who are collecting tithe in the New Testament by instilling fear in the flock,
there is one word that best describes them: extortionists.
They promise financial abundance to tithe payers and pronounce curses to non-tithe payers.

Alas, there are people in the church who pay tithe every month, yet they are struggling financially.
On the other hand, we have people who don’t know God, who pays no tithe, yet they are rich
materially.

This shows that there is something wrong with this doctrine of money tithe.

My goal in this teaching is to send a live bullet to the lies that have found habitation in the hearts
of many for centuries, and hopefully, after I'm done doing that, you'll start looking at tithe
differently than you currently do.

The cure for darkness is light, and the cure for religion lies in the accurate, precise, and revealed
knowledge of the son of God.

Only the truth can expose lies. When the true message is dispensed, lies are scattered, and
souls are liberated.

This is what you must embrace: God doesn’t want your money. He wants YOU!

This is confirmed in Paul’s response to the Athenians who were worshipping idols in Acts 17:24.

Let’s pick up the text.(Act 17:24) God, who made the world and everything in it, is Lord of
heaven and earth and does not live in temples made by human hands.(Act 17:25) Nor does he
need anything that we can supply by working for him, since it is he himself who gives life and
breath and everything else to everyone. (GNB)God is not after your money.

He is after You!
The reason he became a man is to have You!

The reason he died like a criminal on the cross is because of His love for You!

The reason he rose from the dead is because of You!

Fasten your seat belt and follow patiently as we scripturally dismantle lies taught in church
pertaining to the subject of the tithe.
