Opening Scene: The Spirit of the Ayala

(Stage lights dim as a soft breeze sound effect plays. The stage is set with a backdrop of a
golden desert at sunrise. Traditional Emirati drums begin to play, gradually building rhythm.)

Ayala Dance Performance:


(A group of boys performs the Ayala, the traditional Emirati stick dance, symbolizing unity and
strength. They move in synchronized steps, carrying sticks (canes) and rhythmically responding
to the beat of traditional drums. Meanwhile, girls dressed in traditional Emirati dresses (Abayas
with gold embroidery) join in, swaying gracefully to the rhythm.)

(As the Ayala dance concludes, the dancers form a semi-circle on the stage, holding the UAE
flag high. A short silence follows before the Narrator(s) steps forward.)

Script Continues
Narrator 1:
"In the rhythm of the Ayala lies the spirit of the Emirates—strength, unity, and pride. This dance,
performed for centuries, reflects the harmony of people who came together to form a nation."

Narrator 2:
"But this harmony was not always present. Let us take you on a journey to the past, to a time
when the emirates stood divided, and a visionary leader dreamed of uniting them under one
flag."

(The dancers quietly exit the stage, transitioning to the first scene as the Narrator introduces the
story.)

Narrator 1
Before the skyscrapers and cities, before the oil and prosperity, the land of the Emirates was
home to resilient people. They lived in harmony with the sea, the desert, and their traditions."
(The fisherman sits by his nets, glancing at the setting sun. The pearl diver approaches,
shaking droplets of seawater from his hair. The merchant joins them, carrying a small bundle of
goods. They settle into a casual chat as they continue their tasks.)

Fisherman:
"The sea provides for us, but it is unpredictable. Some days, we are blessed with abundance.
Other days, we struggle to survive."

Pearl diver-What happened brother ,You seem upset.

Fisherman (sighing as he pulls at a tangled net):


"Another tough day at sea. The waves gave me more trouble than the fish did."

Pearl Diver (grinning lightly as he stretches his shoulders):


"At least you stayed above the water. I spent hours diving for pearls, only to come up with this
one single pearl " (He holds up a small pearl with a shrug.)
"The sea, my friend, is as stubborn as the desert wind."

Merchant (chuckling as he lays out spices):


"And yet, you both love it as much as I hate haggling with stubborn customers. They want silk
for the price of salt!"

Fisherman (smirking):
"Seems none of us have it easy. The sea tests us, the desert challenges us, and the markets
drain you.

(They share a brief moment of laughter, but the pearl diver turns serious.)

Merchant (thoughtfully):
"What if we didn’t have to face all this alone?

Fishermen/Pearl divees-???????

Merchant-Imagine if our tribes worked together, helping each other through the hard days.
