Survey on Touristification Impact in Cavite

The document outlines a research study using a survey questionnaire to investigate the correlation between enhanced touristification and adversities faced by residents of Barangay Lantic, City of Carmona, Cavite. It details the structure of the survey, which includes demographic data, touristification, and adversities, and employs a four-point Likert scale for responses. Statistical methods such as frequency percentage, independent t-test, ANOVA, and Pearson's r correlation coefficient are used for data analysis.

Research Instrument

The researcher will prepare a survey questionnaire aimed at finding data to

determine the correlation between the exhibition of enhance touristification and

adversities faced by the residents of Barangay Lantic, City of Carmona, Cavite. The

survey instrument had three (3) parts classified accordingly: the demographic profile and

leisure activities in the area, the exhibition of enhance touristification, and adversities

faced by the local residents.

Researchers use the four-point Likert scale to rate the exhibition of enhance

touristification and adversities faced by the residents of Barangay Lantic, City of

Carmona, Cavite.

Table 2. The Four-Point Likert Scale for the Exhibition of Enhance Touristification

4 3.25 – 4.00 Strongly Agree

3 2.50 – 3.24 Agree

2 1.75 – 2.49 Disagree

1 1.00 – 1.74 Strongly Disagree

Statistical Treatment of Data

The study used the following formulas:

Frequency and percentage are used to represent the proportion of participants

falling into different categories.

f
%= x 100
N

Where:
% = Percentage

f = Frequency

N = Number of cases

The independent t-test, also known as the two-sample t-test, is employed to

compare the means of two distinct groups to ascertain if there is a significant difference

between them.

X 1−X 2

n1 n2

𝑋̅1 and 𝑋̅2 are the sample means of the two groups.
Where:

𝑆12 and 𝑆22 are the sample variances of the two groups.

𝑛1 and 𝑛2 are the sample sizes of the two groups.

The arithmetic and weighted mean are calculated by summing all observations

and then dividing by the total number of observations.

n

A= ∑ ❑ ai
n i=1

Where:
A = arithmetic mean

n = number of values

ai = data set values

One-way analysis of variance (ANOVA), or within-subjects ANOVA, is used to

assess whether there are significant differences in the mean values of multiple samples.

Where:
F= the variance ratio for the overall test

MST = the mean square due to treatments or groups

MSE = the mean square due to error

Yij = an observation, It is a group total

G = the total of all observations, ni is the number in group i and n

is the total number of observations.
Pearson’s r correlation coefficient is widely used to measure the strength and

direction of the linear relationship between two variables, producing a value between -1

and 1. This coefficient signifies how one variable changes as the other changes.

r = Pearson Coefficient

n = number of pairs of stock

∑xy = sum of products of the paired stocks

∑x = sum of the x scores

∑y= sum of the y scores

∑x2 = sum of the squared x scores

∑y2 = sum of the squared y scores
