RESULTS
This chapter presents the results and interpretations of the collected information.
The data gathered was analyzed using weighted mean (WM). Results are presented
using the following order: the “Residence Feedback on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera
in Crime Investigation” and the implication being drawn to the study.
Table 1 presents the Residence Feedback on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera in
Crime Investigation. The study used weighted mean to analyze the data. Table depicts
that the highest mean is 4.95 which means that the CCTV Camera can help identify
quickly the suspect/s of the crime. However, the lowest mean is 4.56 which indicates that
the CCTV Camera is an effective source in crime investigation.
Moreover, it is supported by the following indicators: CCTV Camera can help the
authorities to solve the crime quickly (4.84), CCTV Camera can be a reliable source of
evidence in crime investigation (4.79), and CCTV Camera can provide information to
determine the facts of investigation (4.75), CCTV Camera can help the authorities to
monitor those crime prone areas and CCTV Camera can lessen the crimes in crime
prone areas (4.73), CCTV Camera helps to gather data during the investigation of the
incidents (4.70), also CCTV Camera can assist in solving any reported crime, including
theft and robbery incidents and CCTV Camera helps crime investigators in solving
cases (4.69), and lastly CCTV Camera is an effective source in crime investigation
(4.56).
The Residence Feedback on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera in Crime
Investigation, as indicated by an overall mean of 4.74, which means that the CCTV
Camera is effective most of the time, that it can help the authorities to solve the crime

according to the results, as it continuously records and monitors the surroundings to
assist in the investigation of any reported crimes like robberies and assaults.
Additionally, the installation of CCTV cameras is very helpful in preventing traffic
violations as well as
crimes against people and property because CCTV can be used as evidence in court
and it can help the authorities in solving any crimes.
The deterrent impact of CCTV cameras has been a typical strategy for reducing
crime and conflict. There are also claims that CCTV guarantees the public, which may
lessen crime-related fear and enhance the use of public areas. CCTV is widely used in
the Philippines in places including businesses, gas stations, streets, elevators, labs,
banks, condominiums, corridors, and privately owned land (Cuevas, 2019).
Chapter 4
DISCUSSION
This chapter presents the summary of the research work undertaken, the
conclusions drawn, and the recommendations made as an outgrowth of this study. This
study aimed to determine the Residence Feedback on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera
in Crime Investigation. It also aimed to draw an implication based on the findings of the
study.
In this study, the research determined the Residence Feedback on Effectiveness
of CCTV Camera in Crime Investigation. It was found out that the Residence Feedback
on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera can help identify quickly the suspect/s of the crime
which shows the often effectiveness of CCTV Camera.
Closed-circuit television, also known as "CCTV," refers to cameras or closed-
circuit television. a permanent or stationary surveillance device that can take pictures of
people or other information connected to people. The cameras provide the general
people a sense of security and make criminals reconsider their actions. Video footage is
typically used as evidence to back up an act of a crime since CCTV footage has been
considered to be of great help to authorities in their investigations of crime.
The results of the study were supported by what Aballe (2022) said. The
installation of CCTV cameras has proven effective in preventing crime, according to the
results, as it continuously records and monitors the surroundings to assist in the
investigation of any reported crimes like robberies and assaults. Additionally, the
installation of CCTV cameras is very helpful in preventing traffic violations as well as

Conclusions
Based on the results of the study, the following conclusions are drawn:

a positive impact on Crime Investigation. The very high cooperation of Residence
Feedback on Effectiveness of CCTV Camera suggests that the CCTV Camera has
prioritized helping the authorities to solve the crime quickly.

crime and conflict. There are also claims that CCTV guarantees the public, which may
lessen crime-related fear and enhance the use of public areas. CCTV is widely used
in the Philippines in places including businesses, gas stations, streets, elevators,

Recommendations
Based on the findings and conclusions of the study, the following
recommendations are hereby presented:
Barangay Calumpang residents should install CCTV cameras at each street
and business corner. Such equipment is necessary whether you own a business or
just would like to protect your family. The residence should maintain CCTV Cameras
through regular checks and maintenance. They should promptly report any crime that
has been captured by the CCTV Camera in crime prone [Link] cameras to be
installed in the Barangay should provide clear and non-pixelate on-time capture to
avoid inconveniences in crime investigation.
Although there are 1080p standard CCTV cameras available in the market,
residents should opt to choose 2000p or 4000p for camera resolution. Generally, the
higher the security camera resolution, the better the image quality and the details will
be clearer, and the clearer the video or image the more it will be helpful in crime
investigation.
By following these recommendations, CCTV Cameras will be effective in crime
investigation.
Future researchers should further explore Residence Feedback on
Effectiveness of CCTV Camera in Crime Investigation by conducting in-depth studies
that investigate the underlying factors influencing their effectiveness. Research
should focus on understanding the specific challenges faced by Crime Investigation,
such as limited CCTV Cameras, low-quality versions of CCTV cameras, and non-
functioning CCTV cameras. It is important to identify effective strategies and
interventions that can enhance the effectiveness of CCTV cameras.
