REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP)
Mechanical Utility Piping Supply,
Installation, Testing and Commissioning
1 Introduction
1.1 Purpose of the RFP (Request for Proposal)
This Request for Proposal (RFP), is based upon Mondelez’s requirements for Mechanical
Utility Piping Erection other ancillary works related to one of the project coming in Sricity site.
Information related to specific product requirements is included in the RFP. Vendor are
expected to provide their best information when responding to this RFP.
2. Vendor Scope of Request for Proposal Requirements.
For scope clarification, the word shall, in context to any requirement, means the requirement
is Mandatory.
The Vendor is asked to review this entire RFP, including all attachments and reference
documentation, and shall provide a proposal directly relevant to all sections of the document
and attachments.
The technical and commercial quotation submission by the OEM shall be based upon a fully
inclusive and complete piping and in-built drawing under all sections of the specification.
To assist in the clarification and evaluation of the Vendor quotation submission, the Vendor
Cost Breakdown shall be submitted against all specifically noted item numbers contained
within this RFP with all exceptions clearly noted in the submission.
The Vendor should include supply, installation, testing and commissioning of below mentioned
utility stream :
• Chilled water 0 Degree and 5-degree,12-degree supply and return. 3.5 bar MS ERW–
Class C pipe (5 star and C &C area)
• Hot water 55 Degree supply and return with 3.5 bar, SS 304L MOC (5 star, ML,
C&C,RM)
• Chilled water 5 degree at C &C area conch and skid warm water supply and return with
3.5 bar SS 304 L MOC
• Hot water 62 Degree supply and return with 3.5 bar, SS 304L MOC (C&C)
• Hot water 85 Degree supply and return with 3.5 bar, SS 304L MOC (C &C)
• Pipe routing and connecting to equipment as per equipment schedule, isometrics and
P&ID with fabrication/installation drawings.
• Working drawings like Isometric/fabrication drawing & As-built drawings shall be
done by the vendor side once work is completed and certified by the third party.
• Insulation for the chilled water and hot water need to designed with specification.
• Erection of Insulation of the equipment or piping as per the Heat loss with ambient or
Room temperature.
• Structural pipe rack installation, erection need to be done by vendor based on the
approved drawing and as per mentioned specification on the drawing
• Coordination drawing need to be submitted with the equipment installed.
• Blower room piping need to consider in scope and installation to be done with pressure
test.
• BOQ of piping, valves etc need to be submitted with considering the Design and as
per the Isometric drawing. (15 % Extra)
Note : All existing header pipe lines need to take taping during shut down time has per site
condition.
3. PIPING SPECIFICATIONS MATRIX:

Utility Piping- Mild Steel Pipe of Heavy class (C Class) ERW,
12-degree skid conforming to IS 1239, IS 3589, ANSI B36.10 and ASTM
A53 Type E and Equaling accessories i.e. flanges, elbows,
tee , bolt nut etc. Insulation of the pipe specification need
to include in the design.
Utility Piping- Mild Steel and GI Pipe of Heavy class (C Class) ERW,
Chilled water – 5 & 12 conforming to IS 1239, IS 3589, ANSI B36.10 and ASTM
Degree A53 Type E and Equaling accessories i.e. flanges, elbows,
Brine Chilled water – 0 tee , bolt nut etc. Insulation of the pipe specification need
Degree to include in the design.
Utility Piping – Hot water SS- 304 L as per design pressure and the insulation of the
– 62 and 85 Degree pipes if required.
Utility Piping – Hot water SS- 304 L as per design pressure and the insulation of the
– 55 Degree pipes if required.
Structural Support Main structure -MS Structural with powder coated. SS 304
L at required location.
3.1 Engineering of Design:
The Vendor detailed shall cover supply, installation, testing, commissioning safety systems.
3.2 Room Temperature Conditions:
• Summer Ambient: 34°C DB, 22.0g/kg mc
• Winter Ambient: 14°C DB, 50% RH
• Kitchen area 30°C DB, 65% RH
• Molding area 25°C DB, 60% RH
• Packaging area 19°C DB, 50% RH
• Cutter Room area 19°C DB, 40% RH
3.3 A schedule for delivering agreed supply erection deliverables shall be set as phase
milestones as follows:
• Fabrication Drawings
• BOQ
• All Pipe lines erection, testing and pressure test (6 bar and 14 bar for Steam IBR
line)
• Pressure test certificate
• All as built drawing need to submit after the erection of all pipe lines
• All Pipe line and valves working specification and certificate need to submit by
vendor
• After commissioning all documents, certificates related to piping need to submit
by vendor
• Water and Pressure Balancing should be done by vendor to be certified
4. Attachment of all Drawing:
All design drawing will be submitted in one zip file related to all pipe lines of steam,
condensate, chilled water lines, Hot water lines, compressed air lines.
