My Reflection About The Antalya Museum.

The Antalya museum impressed me with its diversity of cultures, it covers a wide historical
period. It features exhibits discovered during archaeological excavations, such as those from
the ancient cities of Perge, Termessos, Aspendos. This museum presents a rich culture of
these regions with culture and history. From the very first moments, it immerses visitors into
those times. The atmosphere and design there contribute to a deep dive into history. It was my
first time visiting this museum, and it felt like a true journey into the past. Before visiting this
place I visited the Hierapolis Archaeological Museum in Pamukkale, where also were found a
lot of artefacts, but there were not atmosphere like in Antalya museum.

The museum has many different halls, each dedicated to various historical periods. The
abundance of artifacts and sculptures left me deeply impressed. The halls are softly lit,
creating a calming atmosphere. The red halls, in particular, have a special vibe, against this
background of this color, the sculptures seem more majestic and noble. Looking at them, you
think about the strength of those people who built these heavy large figures. We spent about
three hours there and I didn’t even notice how time flew by. I was particularly delighted by the
excellent condition of the sculptures—some of the sarcophagi, for instance, are almost
perfectly preserved. Moreover, the museum includes collections of ceramics, jewellery and
coins, which provide insight into the everyday lives of people from the past. The main goal of
my visit was to see the statues of Greek and Roman gods, and the museum featured many
deities, which helped me gain a better understanding of the religious beliefs of ancient
peoples. I can’t describe how I felt while walking through those halls, marveling at how
fortunate we are that all these treasures have been preserved to this day.

I was absolutely delighted with this visit to the museum. I enjoyed all the halls, but the one that
impressed me the most was the hall with the gods.
