INTRODUCTION:

Transgender individuals often face significant social stigma, discrimination, and


marginalization within society. These challenges can be further exacerbated for transgender people
working in the adult entertainment industry, such as the online cam modeling profession. In recent
years, the advent of the internet and digital technology has revolutionized various industries,

been tackled by many legal in the Philippines. Cam entertaining is a form of online work in which
models perform and interact with clients via internet-connected webcams (Jones, 2020). As more
attention is placed on exploitation and violence, camming has been in the side of our society
although no one must be behind.

This qualitative research study aims to explore the lived experiences of a transgender cam
entertainer who services a primarily foreign client base. Despite the increasing visibility of
transgender individuals in mainstream media and society, their experiences within the adult
entertainment industry, particularly in relation to online interactions with foreign clients, have
received limited scholarly attention. It also aims to explore factors that lead them to be a cam
entertainers, and the benefits and risks of camming gives to the workers. And tells how their work
deal with judgment and discrimination they meet on working as cam entertainer.

Existing research has highlighted the unique challenges that transgender individuals
navigate, including issues of identity, mental health, employment discrimination, and access to
healthcare (Bettcher, 2019). However, there is a dearth of literature examining the experiences of
transgender people working in the cam entertainment sector, particularly those engaging with
international clientele. The online cam entertainment industry has grown exponentially in recent
years, providing new avenues for performers to showcase their talents and earn income. Yet,
transgender cam entertainers still face significant social, legal, and occupational barriers, as
evidenced by the "trans exclusionary" policies and "transphobic trolls" reported on some cam
platforms (Nemoto et al., 2022).

Understanding the complex experiences of transgender cam entertainers servicing foreign


clients is crucial, as this population navigates the intersections of gender identity, sex work, and
cross-cultural dynamics. Exploring their motivations, challenges, coping strategies, and
perceptions of self-worth and empowerment can inform the development of more inclusive and
supportive policies, services, and community resources. By amplifying the voice of a transgender
