Mj:We made our own dishwashing liquid with various scent made from
local materials such as lemon, sampaguita, calamansi and lavender. We
are Group 4 and my members look forward to your collaboration and
attentive attention in order to better understand the whole research
study.

Jayson: Our experimental research study entitle, “Dishwashing Liquid
With Various Scent”.
Jayson: In chapter 1 it contains the Introduction and its background.
Dishwashing liquid is a detergent used to assist in dishwashing. It is
usually a highly-foaming mixture of surfactants with low skin irritation,
and is primarily used for hand washing of utensils and cooking utensils.
It suppresses the growth of different bacteria that can cause odor, skin
infections, food poisoning, intestinal illnesses and other commonly
transmitted diseases.
Mj : Statement of the problem
The research aimed to determine the Effectiveness of Dish Washing
Liquid with Various Scents of Grade 12 Students in Jaen National High
School, Dampulan. Jaen, Nueva Ecija. This study also aimed to
determine the relationship between the demographic profile of the
respondents and their perception.
Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions:
Number 1,How the demographic profile of the Grade 12 students may
be described in terms of:
1.1 age;
1.2 sex; and
1.3 civil status?
Number 2,How the Dish Washing Liquid with Various Scents may be
effective in terms of:
2.1 Lemon Scent
2.2 Calamansi Scent
2.3 Lavender Scent
2.4 Sampaguita Oil
And the last one,Is there significant relationship between the
respondents’ demographic profile and their perception on the
effectiveness of dish washing liquid with various scents?
Alliyah : Formulation of the Hypothesis
There is no significant relationship between the respondents’
demographic profile and their perception on the effectiveness of dish
washing liquid with various scents.
Jennylyn: Significance of the Study
This study limited its coverage in determining the perception

Students in Jaen National High School, Dampulan. Jaen, Nueva Ecija. It
also aimed to determine the relationship between the respondents’
demographic profile and their perception. The findings of this study will
benefit the following:
The first one is the Department of Education. The findings of this study
will benefit the department as it would provide them information
effectiveness of dishwashing liquid with various scents.
The second one is the Business Institution. The findings of the study will
benefit the institution as it will lead to formulation of intervention
programs to improve the effectiveness of dishwashing liquid with
various scents.
Next is the School Administrators. The findings of the study will be
useful for school administrators as it will improve their knowledge on
the effectiveness of dishwashing liquid with various scents.
Next is the Faculty Members. This study will be beneficial to the
university teachers as this will provide additional basis on how they will
educate Grade 12 students on the effectiveness of dishwashing liquid
with various scents.
Next is the Students. The findings of this study will benefit the students,
especially the Grade 12, as this will serve as additional basis on how
they will improve their dishwashing liquid.
Next is the Researchers. The findings of this study would benefit and
inspire them to formulate and act upon on various dishwashing liquid
scents.
And last is the Future Researchers. This study would serve as their
reference that would help in conducting their own research studies.
Alliyah: Scope and Delimitations of the Study

Anna Marie: Defenition of Terms (So we have 7 definition of terms

Fragrances are also used to mask the odour of other chemical
ingredients in a product.
Dishwashing Liquid - in this study, refers to a detergent used to assist in
dishwashing.
Scent - refers to many additives are used in detergents to provide
scent, brightening or bleaching action.
Orange Peel - is a highly concentrated citrus-based neutral liquid
detergent formatted as an all-natural Cleaner.
Calamansi - is high in vitamin C and prevents skin damage. Lastly,
tangerine acts as an antifungal and antiseptic ingredient and improves
the appearance of the skin.
Lavender - is traditionally alleged to have a variety of therapeutic and
curative properties, ranging from inducing relaxation to treating
parasitic infections, burns, insect bites, and spasm.
Sampaguita - essential oils were extracted from the sampaguita, using
two solvent extraction procedures (soaking and soxhlet extraction) with
petroleum-ether as solvent.
Anna Marie: Research Methodology
This chapter presents the subject of the study, procedure, research
design, and statistical treatment used in this study.
Alliyah : The subject of the study
This study involved all the Grade 12 Students currently enrolled at Jaen
National High School. The respondents were comprised of a total of 10
students. The respondents were identified through purposive sampling
using total or complete enumeration procedure.
Jayson : The Procedure
The researchers conducted an experiment on making a dishwashing
liquid with various scents. Proper ingredients and equipment were also
used during the process.

Mj: Research Design
This research aimed to determine the effectiveness of dishwashing
liquid with various scents of Grade 12 students. This study also aimed
to determine the relationship between the demographic profile of the
respondents and their perception.
The researchers formulated a conceptual framework using the input-
process output model to function as analytical framework wherein the
perception on the effectiveness of dishwashing liquid with various
scents of Grade 12 students was determined.
Alliyah : Presentation Analysis and Interpretation of Data
Table 1.1 represents the frequency and percentage distribution of
senior high school respondents according to age. This shows that 16 to
20 years old has the highest percentage of 90%, while only 10% of the
respondents belong to age group 21-25 years old.
Table 1.2 shows that majority of the respondents are female with a
percentage of 60 while the remaining 40% is consists of male
respondents.
Table 2 presents the statements regarding the dishwashing liquids in
various scents. The statement number one that has the highest
weighted mean is “Dishwashing liquid is essential in our daily lives.”
With a verbal description of strongly agree. The statement “Lavender
Scent is gentle on skin, not as harsh or drying as you might find in many
commercial dishwashing soap.” Has the lowest weighted mean of 3.2
with a verbal description of strongly agree.
Anna Marie : Conclusion, Summary, and Recommendations
A brief summary is presented in this chapter based from the previous
chapters. Yielding into results, this chapter also contains the
researchers’ conclusions on how feasible is making dishwashing liquid
with various scent. Recommendation are also included.
Jennylyn: Summary
The research aimed to determine the effectiveness of dish washing
liquid with various scents of grade 12 students in Jaen, Nueva Ecija.
Most of the respondents agreed that dishwashing liquids with scents
are mild on the hands and the foamy when used in washing dishes. This
study also aimed to determine the relationship between the
demographic profile of the respondents and their perception.
Weighted mean was the main statistical tool used in interpreting the
data gathered from the respondents.
Jayson: Conclusion
The researchers concluded that the demographic profile of the
respondents do not affect their perception towards dishwashing
liquids.
The researchers concluded that the various scents incorporated in
liquid dishwashing soaps affects the perception of grade 12 students.
The researchers concluded that most of the grade 12 students are
aware of the importance of dishwashing liquid soap in our daily lives.
The researchers concluded that calamansi scent prevents skin damage,
lemon scent may used as stain remover, sampaguita oil keeps items
clean and protected.
Mj: Recommendations
For the students
The researchers recommend the students to explore more scents and
create more effective dishwashing liquid.
For the future researchers
The researchers recommend that they increase the number of
respondents to gather more accurate information regarding the topic.
